As scary as this sighting was, was it a true UFO sighting? Smoke rings like this do appear from time to time, but their origins can be traced to man-made pollution, fires, or explosions. Case in point, in 2014 in China, a factory fire caused a black ring, just like this one, to appear in the sky:
While this sighting may not indicate that aliens are visiting, it could indicate an explosion or pollution in the area. Oddly enough, there was a fire at an oil refinery reported in Dalian, China during the week of this sighting, but on the 17th, four days after this event! Perhaps there were issues at the refinery before this most recent explosion, but issues that were not made known to the public... except through an eerie black smoke ring.
