Considering that many people are confidently predicting that 2017 will be the year of UFO Disclosure, it's worth it to look back at the momentum that was gathered in 2016. Here are the top 5 UFO and paranormal news stories of 2016... I'm sure the headlines will be even more shocking in 2017!
5. Mock Sacrifice Performed at CERN
During the summer, a video was uploaded online that appeared to show a ritual sacrifice... most likely and hopefully, a mock sacrifice... performed at the CERN facility. CERN, or the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is based in Switzerland and it is the largest particle physics lab in the world. It's famous for its discovery of the elusive "Higgs boson" or "God" paricle. Most agree this was a prank, but there have been no follow ups shared with the public since CERN began its investigation.
4. Famous Rocker Tom Delonge Becomes UFO Disclosure Activist
In the spring, Blink 182 guitarist and Angels & Airwaves front man, rocker Tom Delonge, announced a pretty interesting career turn. While he'd continue to perform and record music, he would not tour with Blink 182, and would instead devote his time to UFO research... specifically writing a fiction series inspired by the UFO phenomenon, and also doing real investigative work about it too, putting together an ambitious, nonfiction UFO documentary (still in progress). Since the announcement, Delonge moved fast and has since published two back-to-back fiction books and leaked some pretty intriguing "insider" government info, revealing - among many startling revelations - that "Ancient Aliens" were real, and they are what seeded all of our religious mythologies.
3. Hillary Clinton Promises UFO Disclosure on the Campaign Trail
Almost a year ago exactly, Hillary Clinton shockingly announced that she would make UFO Disclosure an official agenda item if she were to become president, and had been urged by her campaign advisor John Podesta (former presidential advisor to Obama and a known UFO "truther"). Since the announcement, Podesta and Clinton made various comments about UFOs and the importance of disclosing the truth about them on the campaign trail.
2. Elon Musk Suggests UFO Took Out Rocket
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has unfortunately experienced a few rocket failures, and one of them in particular became the center of controversy when people online realized that right before the SpaceX rocket (fortunately, unmanned) exploded during a September launch, a UFO speeds by it, as if shooting a weapon at it. To make matters weirder, even Musk tweeted that the "UFO" theory had not been ruled out. Only 4 days ago, SpaceX released findings from their investigation of the event, claiming to have identified the tank that failed - but they didn't elaborate any further. Another launch is planned for this coming weekend.
1. Wikileaks Emails Reveal DNC's Interest in UFOs
Wikileaks kept UFO researchers very busy in 2016. From former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell's concerns about the looming "space war," to Hillary Clinton's interest in UFOs, to Tom Delonge and John Podesta's plans to disclose the truth about UFOs to the American people, Wikileaks drove UFO headlines throughout the year.
What do you think of these UFO and paranormal-related headlines from 2016? Are there any UFO new stories you think should be included on the list? What do you think 2017 has in store for us?
