According to a stratospheric balloon tracking Twitter account, there was actually a NASA scientific balloon that appeared over the Crosbyton, Texas area on October 15th. (Although this UFO was technically reported on the 14th.) As originally mentioned in the story, a weather balloon - especially if it was a giant NASA one - is a believable explanation for one of the UFOs, and it's understandable it would have been mistaken for a UFO: However, I am not comfortable to identify UFO #2! It doesn't appear to be a bird, drone, or bug to me, and I've reviewed the footage multiple times. Watch the video below and let me know what you think of the explanation for UFO #1 and if you think UFO #2 can also be debunked! Original story
Footage showing two UFOs over a town in North Texas has been uploaded to MUFON, along with witness testimony. Check out all the detail in UFOJane's latest YouTube video:

February 20th, 2016 Update: Texas UFO Sightings has been contacted about this event; apparently this was a meteorite and it landed, and people are looking for it - about 1 hour west of where the meteorite was seen falling. "RW" writes: "The video of the meteor on the 17th on fort worth camera, was a meteorite, that had landed, and people are searching for it just above Crosbyton, TX. Hwy 651, and 1471 area": A Texan has captured a bright, brilliant, large meteorite falling - seemingly to the ground! - from their dashboard camera in Euless: Cool video I captured with my dashcam of a really close meteor. I witnessed a similar incident higher up in the sky 2 days before this... Interesting happening, glad I was driving by at the right moment. This was on 183 Westbound in the Euless area.
What's odd about this fireball event is that there don't appear to be many other reports of this on the web, and the meteor showers for the month should really have occurred a few days prior to this on Valentines Day - in fact, a few years ago around that time, the Earth was hit by many meteorites.
February is always a pretty fiery time! Compare this meteor to one seen and filmed in the South of France on the same day:
