2/11/19 Update: In a new video, recent meteor sightings and possible meteorite crashes in Cuba and Venezuela are featured. It is coming to my attention, however, that one of the initial videos reported of the Venezuela meteor was actually of a meteor over Mexico in December 2018. This does not discount any of the multiple local reports and videos to come out after that, but it adds a lot of confusion to an otherwise difficult-to-report-on story, Please let me know if you have any info.
2/10/19 Update: I'm still trying to find some local media reports and testimonies, but the videos posted to Twitter and YouTube are all I can find right now. However, it is not uncommon for news of meteors and other large weather events to be buried when they occur in countries outside the US. The meteor over Cuba from earlier this month, as well as the meteor in Cuba that caused windows to shatter about 6 years ago (the same day as the infamous Russia Valentines Day asteroid) also similarly received little to no mainstream media attention. If you are a local who saw (or didn't see!) this, report your experience so we can find out what happened! In the meantime, you can see at least one local tweet confirming the meteor sighting below:
Original story:
Just a little over a week after Cuba was hit with meteorites that broke off from a bolide meteor that exploded in the sky, and just several days short of the 6-year anniversary of the asteroid explosion over Russia (which injured hundreds, and damaged buildings), a large meteor has been seen exploding over Venezuela - and part of it has apparently landed in the country. One video shows a supposed fire caused by the meteorite crash. Watch the YouTube footage below and stay tuned for more ongoing updates:

If you live in California, Oregon, or Nevada, there's a good chance that you enjoyed a surprising and mysterious light show this past Wednesday evening, one that NASA believes was the result of a meteor. However, according to tweets directed at NASA, and a MUFON report that may show a UFO alongside the light, some people aren't buying the official NASA story. Besides aliens, a missile or rocket launch has also been offered up as an explanation. Some have even linked the event to the equally mysterious news story about drones shutting down a London airport. MUFON UFO report:
[MUFON report 97120] Tweets to NASA about meteor really being a UFO:
More photos and and a video of the event:
AMSMeteors.org also received a myriad of reports:
What do you think people saw over their heads on Wednesday night? Was a meteor, like NASA and other sources are suggesting, or something else, like a missile, rocket launch, or even... aliens?

A really frightening encounter of a ball of fire hovering in the sky and then vanishing in thin air has been recorded on video and posted to YouTube.
The written description of the "UFO sighting" is very short, leaving a lot to the imagination. Did you also see this flaming UFO? Report your sighting!

A photograph of the Milky Way turned into a photo of a UFO when the photographer noticed it speeding past them in their peripheral vision. Check out the amazing photo and testimony submitted to MUFON (case 93860) below: I was attempting to photograph the Milky Way, I saw the object in my peripheral quickly adjusted shutter speed and took the photo approx 1 second before it vanished. There was nothing around apart from house proves to gauge size, distance, height etc. It appeared to be stationary at a 45°top left to bottom right tilt, about 1" long ( don't know size due to not knowing distance, height etc ) long thin light, like a tablet side on view, lit up white.
What's interesting is during the summer of 2017, about a year ago, a similar UFO was photographed in the daytime - also over Great Britain! Do you think the sightings are related?
Does these photos show a rod or cigar-shaped alien spaceship? Or do they show something simpler, like a meteor (more recently) or a drone (back in 2017)? Share your thoughts on this and more in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Phoenix residents were in for an amazing sight Monday evening. Local news shared photos of what looks like swirling lights or a bizarre cloud taking up a massive portion of the sky in Phoenix (but apparently this was seen in other parts of Arizona, as well as California and Mexico, too). So far, there has been no explanation given for this mass display, but one person commented that this could be an example of "cloud iridescence," or a rainbow cloud caused by ice crystals hanging in the atmosphere. Others believe this could be the leftover "contrail" of sorts of a missile or rocket launch. The latter is a lot more likely to me, considering this was seen as far as Mexico! Also, there is a Chinese space station expected to crash near this area in the coming days, so perhaps this event is related. As always, you be the judge:
TexasUFOs will be following this story closely. In the meantime, do you live in Arizona, California or Mexico? Did you also see this mystery "cloud"? Do you know of any updates to this story? Please share!
