Cigar UFO Seen Hovering and Then Disappearing Over California

• What:  Cigar-shaped UFO hovers and then disappears

A MUFON report (case 95145) detailing a white, cigar-shaped object hovering over California and then disappearing was submitted today:

Observed white cigar object hovering above mountains in San Bernardino then vanish in midair.

My co worker and I were working on EB Foothill @ the 15 SB on ramp putting in new freeway packages(fwy entrance,direction,fwy shield,and arrow erected on the left and right side of the mouth of the fwy.) for the on ramp. While we were building the signs I glimpsed towards the north and told my co worker there's a little snow on the mountains. Then it hit me that the object was a lot higher than the mountains. I got my co workers attention and said," Dave, look at that thing in the air!" We stared at it for a couple of minutes and then it just disappeared like the cloaking features on the sci-fi movies. It was stationary the whole time then it disappeared from left to right.

Cigar UFOs are some of the more interesting and perplexing UFOs out there. Does this recent one join other mysterious cases, like in Texas in June 2018?  In the case in Texas, the cigar UFO moved steadily through the sky, however, so could be explained as a border patrol drone (which looks similar).

In this most recent example, the cigar UFO apparently was stationary for a while before disappearing, so drone, plane, or anything man-made seems unlikely.
