A mass sighting of a mysterious and some would say frightening smoky ring hovering in the daytime sky over China has been reported by many online news outlets, and filmed by many witnesses:

Unusual footage from China. There was a mysterious object in the sky. Observers decided that it was ... UFOs. Others think it's a strange cloud. Then everything went away, and explanations were absent
