Texas has been real abuzz with UFO sightings of late. I recently caught wind that MUFON - a great UFO reporting database, but not the trustiest investigators - dubbed the recent Texas City lights as sky lanterns, while the Department of Homeland Security proclaimed hoax. The same explanation has been used for the most recent mass UFO sighting in San Antonio. However, the actual witness testimonies, duration, and ubiquitous of UFO sightings of late in Texas don't really fit that bill. Are sky lanterns our new weather balloons? Here's a video of the Texas City lights: Compare to sky lanterns: And similar footage from a recent League City, TX sighting (which has also bled onto many other parts of Texas, and is not likely to be sky lanterns):

@jsqueezayy shared a "twitpic" of a UFO in Tyler, TX on May 14th, with the tweet: "UFO!! Gonna be rich. $$$." There appears to be a strange shadow or cloud in the sky. No information on yet if the UFO was moving or anything like that.
As always, you be the judge... : ) Someone saw a familiar, yet peculiar UFO in Houston and tweeted about it. On May 27th, @HateThe_Ghee tweeted: "no one yet believes me yet bit I SWAR I saw a UFO on my way to work a couple of days ago,and I know I wasn't tripping" and then elaborated: "It had 4 lights on the bottom and it was big. Looked like a plane untried to take a picture of it but it moved to" Guessing if this was a known craft, it's not a typical passenger plane or jet. Any ideas? Could this be related to a UFO sighting in the same area the same night of an orange UFO?
On May 27, @the_n3ko in Houston, TX was witness to an orange light UFO that flew through the sky. tweeted: "Just saw a weird orange light moving across the sky in Houston. #wtf #houston #ufo #nasa" Sighting of orange lights flying in formation, to more fiery, meteor-like UFOs, have been real common in Texas lately, including Houston. Could this be related? As well, another sighting occurred in Houston the same night, of a large, peculiar craft.
We've got a great sighting coming out of Twitter, of a blue light that shot across the sky and even changed directions in an intelligent way. There were more witnesses than him, too. On May 20th, @raulramirez_11 tweeted "Just saw a UFO." They then elaborated on the sighting: "it was bright blue looked like a shooting star falling really fast then it stopped and shoots straight up and disappears!" and its location: "between Saginaw & Rhome Texas! And I wasn't the only one who saw it other people with me did too"
