Many Texans were lucky enough to witness a UFO zig zag through the sky. While the witness who reported the sighting to MUFON admits it could have been a firefly or RC toy of some sort, they're pretty sure it was something much weirder than that, and they're 100% sure it was no meteor. Others in the area spotted the same anomaly and had the same reaction: woa. Here's the full testimony: I, and a couple of other witnesses, saw a lime green object- a lot like a shooting star, fall downward, but i knew instantly it wasnt a shooting star when it changed direction and shot itseft upward in the sky. It looked like a check mark...well if you were to draw one; thats the path it took. And there were two or three quick stops where it fell towards the horizon, then it froze for a split second, nearly blending with the stars around it, and then it continued to fall ... but made an immediate turn-around upward- something a comet or meteorite doesnt do. The experience trully gave me chills. I was with 3 other people at the time, they said the same thing. We saw the same color and we all saw the same flight path. We also saw another group of people 50 yards from us- down a trail from where we were and one woman said she saw the same thing. I am totally open to accept it may very well have been a firefly, a shooting star or crazy glow toy people throw- but i know distance- i think most people can tell the difference between a floating firefly and a sharp, fast, distant darting light in the sky. Im an artist and i have a good understanding of object placament and distance. It was my first UFO sighting- but who knows for sure.

The latest report to come out of famous UFO hotspot Stephenville might very well be fragments of "Asteroid 1998." On the 31st of May, as the record-breaking asteroid was flying by, people from all over the US, including Texas, saw different types of fireballs light up the sky (and we reported on it). Apparently someone else in the area saw something similar on the same night, or a different time - it's unclear, and snapped some photos. You can read the comment below, but the photos have not yet been shared. Here's the full MUFON report: I was driving to my home town after work, as I turned off the highway onto the country road, a bright light exploded to my left so I hit the brakes. As I was coming to a stop I looked to my left and saw a silver line in the sky at remained stationary, it was at a 30 degree tilt and from the distance I could estimate that it was maybe 100 ft long. Inside the silver line there was blue and purple lights (like an aura). After about 30 seconds the light began to grow dim and i was able to make out a 3D unlit long thin rectangular shape that was immediately above where the light had been coming from. It continued to dim until I could no longer see the light or the dimmed shape. It happened so quickly that I did not get a chance to get a picture, I was kind of in shock. Here's a comment from someone who saw a similar sight and took some pictures (though I don't have my paws on those yet): I was working in a windfarm by stepenville tx dont remember the name
Way down in South Texas, a ball of light slowly moved through the sky, and was accompanied by other anomalous objects (which almost appeared to be in a dog fight with each other). The witness captured a photo of the orb, as well as some video. The video, unfortunately, was not retrievable for me but I'll post it here if I get my hands on it. Here's the snapshot: Here's the full MUFON report: 1. Watching Television 2. My sister told me come out and look at object in the sky. 3. I thought it was a party balloon. 4. object appeared to be spherical. Object moved very slowly towards the SSE. 5. I looked at it a minute then grabbed camera. I later tried looking at it through telescope. 6. I lost sight of the object when it moved too far away. FYI We live in airport fly space. It is strange that no airplanes landed during or after, to the best of my recollection, after the event. The video was shot from a camera, image is not really good. There were other objects in the sky that seemed to appear from no where. at first i thought them to be birds in, what i would describe as a dog fight. But they disappeared. I did take video of one of the objects as it moved over my house but the camera was not good enough to capture. I will include it anyways. I did also capture video of the star like object.
Two reports about this amazing sight hit MUFON, and were written quite differently, but with enough overlapping details to confirm each other. It's possible friends who saw the event together made separate MUFON reports. One of the witnesses apparently has a video handy... I will try to track it down. In the meantime, here's the first MUFON report: Sat night 6/8/13 about 10pm CST here is break down - bright, yellow-orange, almost like a meteor but not, they were too slow and too precise in their flight pattern, one behind the other, very precise path across the sky. I saw two groupings of 4, then followed by 2 grps of 3 (what i remember), then a couple grps of 2 or 1 object, until the very last one passed overhead. spacing between objects about 200feet give or take 20ft. 1st grp was fairly evenly spaced as all 4 flew pass, 2nd grp alittle tighter spacing but it's 4th-last object was going faster and further back, so it was going faster to catch up in its grp, these groups and objects gave no noise to my ears (none) it was very quiet night. They all seemed no higher in night sky then what a small plane or hellicopter might do to fly over. i say there was 10 seconds give or take a second, between the 1st grp and 2nd grp, same for 3rd and 4th groups, then it was more like one object at a time, about same 10 second spacing before i would see the next one appear...until the last object appeared, flew by into the NW sky above the house tops. All told, i say 20 or 22 of these objects things flew by over head. Darnest thing i ever seen, especially no sound, none!!! These were not metors, way too slow, i say going about speed of small engine plane or helicopter...took about 8-10 seconds for each object to fly by, that is slow. But the lights were not headlights, no blinking, the shiny bright light encompassed the whole object, teardrop shape with front part more wider then the tail, i am curious if anyone else reported a similar sighting, or got a video of it( i wish i had ). I did try to vocus on them using binoculars, but my binocs are not strong, objects were just a blurring of bright light... And the second: There were 4 of us enjoying the evening, the night was quiet, very dark and VERY clear (not a cloud in the sky). You could see the stars up high in the sky when suddenly I spotted a red-orange light emerge from the east side of the horizon (behind the house tops). That light began traveling west when suddenly I realized that this light was followed by another and another, and another. It became a parade of lights in the sky that were almost evenly spaced, flying in arc form. Then there was a break in the parade and there were 3 lights in triangle formation. One of them seemed to get ahead while the other two got very close to each other - which made me fear they might collide. We realized the lights continued behind those, some coming at longer intervals until eventually they stopped. There had to be over 20 and I was able to video tape a bit of it with my phone. As I mentioned, the lights moved north west, heading OUT into the atmosphere (unlike a plane). I lived in Florida and witness a space shuttle take off so I can tell you that this was NO airplane flight but more like something that headed out into space. there were no other objects, airplanes or anything else in the sky while these objects flew across; but oddly, once they stopped, we saw a plane coming for a landing and that's when we compared its appearance and the sound it made with the lights we had just seen, verifying once again that those objects were not any kind of aircraft. The truth is that it was an eerie sight because of their slow constant speed and the silence. I have some video footage that i can submit at a later date if needed. Someone way over in Portland, OR commented on the report, as they saw something similar on the same night: My name is ERIC Im from Portland OR on 6/8/13 between 11:00&11:15pm my brother and I was walking back from the store when a bright orange ball cought my eye first I thought it was a plain but was not it went from north to south I seen it for about 10-15seconds before it faded 1-2min later a 2nd one went by same north to south then a 3rd& a 4th one went by not sure what they are but would like to know more about the orange ball of lights so if anyone can tell me more about these things my e-mail me at [email protected]
I was reluctant to make a post about this, but for the sake of "due diligence," I'm including it. Someone snapped a photo of an amusement park at sunset (in El Paso... are there roller coasters in El Paso, there are in nearby Sunland, NM, at Western Playland). After the fact, they noticed a collection of lights hovering in the sky, almost but not quite forming a triangle. Since the witness didn't actually witness anything, this could be anything... birds, camera distortion. But it could also be Something, so let me know if you saw anything on the Texas/New Mexico border in late May! Here's the full MUFON report: 3 distinct white shapes in the distance. looked triangular |
