According to local news, an unusual NASA weather balloon was spotted over the Lubbock area Friday night. And someone understandably mistook it for a UFO and reported it to MUFON: In lubbock tx driving with wife she noticed it first and asked me to look up. The object was far away but looked really big, it looked to be moving fast because of a tail coming off both sides. We watched it go up and disappear for about 20 minutes. The streets were busy but no one seemed to be looking. I did see another picture on KLBK TV weather app. The person was also wondering what it was. ![]() UFO? Doesn't seem like it. These high-tech weather balloons take off from New Mexico and often land in West Texas. KCBD.com: "That was not your typical weather balloon. These are launched every fall - it's a stratospheric balloon studying a gamma ray polar eye meter region...Very unusual. They study the upper stratosphere on up. When they come back down, they're in lower populated areas. They're spectacular." Looks like we've got more new ways to debunk UFOs... add this one to the pile along with drones! Check it out, a MUFON report detailing a creepy alien encounter. Or an encounter with a piece of fuzz. Or bug. Alien or not, it wasn't witnessed first-hand, but caught on camera by accident. Yep, it's one of those. However, it's worth noting that this is the second picture like this that's surfaced in the past few months! We were in Dallas going to the medical center. We stopped to ask for directions as I decided to take a picture of the sign to log into my ablum.I snapped the picture and put my cell phone away. Later that night I went to view the pictures I'd taken that day when I noticed on that particular shot a face peering at me. I was shocked because there was nothing on the lawn when I snapped the picture, it scared me when I saw the facial features. I took the picture to my family to show them and we all saw the face in the corner of the picture. We were all amazed and thoughts began to run through our heads. Needless to say I did not sleep that night, fearful of whatelse I might see in the dark. I am still wondering how and why it seemed to be right at the car window looking at me. I have since viewed another face on this picture also, just above the apparitions head. If you've seen or experienced any UFO or extra-terrestrial activity in the Dallas area recently, report your sighting!
Really great video of two UFOs slowly flying over Lakeway was submitted to Texas UFO Sightings. While no written details were shared about the sighting, it speaks for itself: As high-quality as this video is, it could also simply be birds or planes.

9-26 Update: A similar sighting has been reported in the Austin area A Dallas area resident spotted a "square (object) forming" in the sky and then snapped a few shots. The witness admits he is a little "crazy," as he's a musician (aren't we all a little crazy?) but he ended up getting two small objects on camera: Zoomed in: Everyone think's crazy or drugs when you report this kind of stuff, but you tell me.... on 9-15-2014 I stepped outside my studio in Arlington Texas to take some cloud pics to try out a new app on my phone.... I decided to start with the regular camera for a control experiment to see the difference in quality.... I saw a small square forming very far away and very high altitude in the clouds so I decided to snap a bunch of quick shots for speed and focus.... well after reviewing I noticed a couple little spots i thought was dust or a something on the camera as well as my friends, until I zoomed.... What I saw puzzled me... I've never put much thought into it, So, if these are something feel free to contact me with your thought's.... Thank you for your time.... Debris, mosquitoes, balloons? The picture by itself doesn't reveal too much, but along with the testimony, we've got a little more to work with. Did you see any UFOs in the Dallas area recently? Can you help solve this mystery? Report your sighting!
A teenager visiting the Texas coast was enjoying some nighttime star gazing when they noticed a ball of light emerge from the water and float over them. UFOs coming out of the water are probably more common than you think, and in fact this particular "marine" variety of UFOs are some of the most compelling. While the witness was not able to get the object on camera, they shared a drawing with their report (which has additional strange orb sightings as well). While the testimony is somewhat rambling at times (understandably!), it is amazingly detailed and amazing. Check out the drawing and description of the UFO: I was at the beach and it was dark out, probably around 1 at night. I had snuck out from our camp site and sat on one of the many benches that were close to the shoreline of the beach. It was quiet and peaceful. I could see the city lights in the far distance on either side of me. I could see what looked like lights from cars and buildings flickering and moving. But, 2 lights stuck out from the rest. The were closer, appeared to be actually on the beach. I assumed it was people walking around with flashlights on the beach. Apparently, the UFO matches a description of another UFO reported on the web and I am following up about that.
Another bizarre metal object was photographed floating over California recently, but I don't yet guess these sightings are related. In the meantime, if you saw a UFO come out of the water recently, or if you saw a UFO at all in the Corpus area recently!, report your sighting. |
