We've got a pretty astonishing photo a UFO - specifically a large flying saucer - to share! A mother and son in North Dallas spotted a large circular object with several lights, about "15 stories high," fly over their neighborhood. Later on Facebook, they saw a photo of the same craft on their news feed - but the photo was taken from south Dallas. This means this craft was super large and possibly quite high in the sky. The photo was also posted on Twitter, where you can - additionally - read more buzz about it. When I first looked at this photo, I thought search lights obscured by some clouds. So did another person online (read more below). However, the witness is positive this was not search lights, but a craft hiding behind some clouds. Here's the photo: And here's the full witness report from MUFON: My son and I had just gotten outta the car and were heading inside. We have this habit of staring up into the sky at night sometimes because we've always been interested in the whole UFO thing. He saw it and said "Hey Mom, look at that." I looked up and just assumed it was a passenger plane, even though the two nearest airports are quite a ways away from where we are, we just sort of brushed it off and went inside. Even though I had never seen those many lights on an airplane before, we continued inside. It wasn't until Sunday when I got onto FaceBook and saw the posting that I flashed back to what we saw. I then realized that what we saw had absolutely no sound. If my son hadn't have noticed it ( the lights were quite bright ) we never would have seen it. And I realized that it was flying awfully low to be that far away from the nearest airport. If I had to measure the distance from the ground where it was I guess I would say it was about 15 stories high. It had been raining a couple of days prior to that and it was really cloudy. We could see the formation of lights ( that flashed a bit, then stopped ) thru the clouds as it flew along at a moderate speed. We only watched it for about 20 or 30 seconds. It quietly flew/glided directly over my apt complex and I can't believe no one else saw it. There was no wind that night. And I'm in the north part of Dallas and the pic was taken in Oak Cliff, which is in the south-ish. So it flew North to South. According to whomever posted the pic on FaceBook, it was taken a little before/after approximately 8pm. My son and I got out of our car around 8:10pm headed inside, so I'm guessing it was the same object. Since the clouds were blocking our complete view of it we never saw the actual structured craft. Only lights in a circular pattern. Someone commented on the report, suggesting search lights as the culprit: This was not a ufo....it was search lights people use for big events such as the state fair that was goin on close to south dallas...dat particular night there was extra search lights at the state fair n also other ecents sorrounding dallas...and the ones from the others events around dallas had colored searched lights n could b seen from far away... But the witness does not agree, here's their reply: I'm the person that posted the info from above. I know search lights when I see them. What my son and I saw were not search lights. Where I live is no where near Fair Park, or any other kind of events facility that would have utilized search lights that night. What we saw passed directly over our heads, therefore we were not seeing it from far away. This photo was taken from a post on YouTube after it evidently flew into the Oak Cliff area. If a person were to have taken a photo from a couple of miles away from my apt complex it would look exactly like the photo. I appreciate your input but you did not see what I saw. So far, two people saw this UFO, and search lights or not, others should have seen it, too! If you saw this, please report your sighting!

This was an incredible sight! At first I thought it was an airplane with something wrong with it. The tail was extremely long and extremely bright and lasted a long enough time for me to do a double take before I realized what it was and then I followed it to see it end in a blast/explosion. I have seen shooting stars before, but this appeared to be so close to the earth, that I initially thought there was no way it was celestial. ![]()
We've been down this road before, like just the other day! It's no surprise that people spotted some meteors zipping through the sky during the Orionid Meteor Shower. What is surprising is how bright and big these fireballs were! Descriptions of these shooting stars sound a whole lot like the descriptions of other ginormous shooting stars from September and October. Even the most jaded star gazer is getting blown away by these latest fireballs. Watch video of one of these fireballs, captured by a NASA cam: Here are some of the reports from Texans sent to AMSMeteors.org (which you can read yourself here and here):
And a few reports of UFO sightings that sound more like meteor sightings to me: I was sitting on the 3rd floor of my apartment talking on the phone. I was sitting on my couch looking at the sky. When I see this Green HUGE fluorescent light, it was like the fluorescent glow sticks that you can buy at the store, but 10 times brighter and deeper pretty color. The color was reflecting of the clouds and that gave me the view and I was able to determine the shape and see the sliver polish object. It was like round-oval, I was frozen during my conversation- speechless and the person on the grounds that was walk, said the "WTF". It looked like it was descending into the neighborhood. It was about a mere 7 sec of witnessing this site. Then it was gone. The person that I was talking too on the phone was like what is going on.. And I just stated that I saw an object flying, no sound or nothing, then it was gone. This was fast and I couldn't take pictures.. Did you see one of the Orionids? Do you have video or photos? LET US KNOW!

The recent UFO sighting over ACL has spurred quit the conversation online! Many have been quick to debunk these ominous red lights, which formed a clear-cut triangle and quietly lurked over a Cure concert, as Chinese lanterns. A few people have chimed in to say they SAW a launch of Chinese lanterns that evening. A few problems... the videos and photos don't show typical Chinese lanterns. I don't care if you happened to see someone also launching lanterns that evening, this is not what the videos or photos or eyewitness accounts depict. Chinese lanterns or not, sightings of V and triangle-shaped crafts (from Austin to Seguin to Amarillo, and more) with red lights have skyrocketed for Texas over the past several weeks. Just today, TUS received an exclusive report out of San Antonio of "3 sets of 3 glowing red orbs in the distant, the three orbs formed triangle." It was made by a former military member who's used to seeing all kinds of things in the sky... but he was downright baffled by this sight. Here's one of the latest and greatest videos to come from the recent mass UFO sighting in Austin at ACL (pictured above)... what say you, Internet? Chinese lanterns? "They came for the Cure And here's another fresh account of what went down in Austin that night, kindly submitted to TUS by Lisa Farwell-Matthews: We were enjoying The Cure concert at the Austin City Limits Music Festival when I looked up at the search lights pointed over the Lady Bird stage and saw three distinct orange lights in a triangular shape moving slowly over the crowd. I initially thought of flares, but these three lights did not drift or move out of their triangular configuration. Someone suggested Chinese lanterns, but again, these lights remained in a static triangular shape where lanterns would have drifted apart. My friend also saw them. I fumbled with my phone to photograph them and attempted to take a video. I understand now why UFO photos always look like they do. I was shaking and captured one grainy photo, but you can see the three lights in a triangle. We watched them for approximately 2 minutes as they moved slowly west before disappearing into the clouds. I have to say, if that really was a UFO, it was the greatest sighting ever during The Cure's "Hot, Hot, Hot!" As well as more testimony, courtesy of YouTube comments: I was there, and others reported seeing it move across the festival. Apparently there was another red object and a "scout"craft that was aboved and just took off. I initially thought of chinese lanterns but decided that was not the case. So, what do you guys think? Do we have an invasion of Chinese lanterns that like to fly in triangle formation, or an invasion of unidentified flying triangles? As kooky as it sounds, the ladder's the best we can do right now!
Please let me know if you've seen this! ![]()
San Antonio has been visited by... something. A glowing red object floated about the night sky like a remarkably fluid helicopter... perhaps this could be an RC plane??? I really am grasping for explanations beyond that. With the recent mass sighting of a triangle craft in Austin (lamely, IMO, "debunked" as Chinese lanterns by some), and September's surprise delivery of enormous falling stars... well, you just can't help but be on the edge of your swivel chair seats, now can you? What does the sky have in store for us next? Anyways, the latest and greatest footage to come out of Texas (partially transcribed below) was posted to YouTube yesterday, and certainly features a craft flying about the night sky. However, its uber graceful movements and strange, unpredictable path makes it sorta hard to identify. Quite similar to recent footage from Katy, TX.
Here's the video and its description: have been seeing this light in the sky and a smaller red blinking light every other night, not a planet, star, plane, drone, satellite, helicoptor. idk what it is but other people have been posting ufo's with very similar qualities. the light would dim in the middle of a cloud the other night and come back. another video showed the same type of light and it disappeared just the same. Did you spot this interesting craft? Please report your sighting!
Multiple people witnessed a very, very peculiar sight in the western sky - a glowing, fiery red light stationary in the sky. Another Texan saw a fiery red light suspended in the sky in Alvin (also in Houston area), as well, the night previous. Could this be related? Not to mention, people all over the world have been perplexed by a glowing red star they've been seeing in the Western sky, but this doesn't quite sound like the same thing. Read the full report, kindly submitted to TUS: A friend and I are staying at the Holiday Inn next to the San Luis Resort. We were woken just before midnight by loud neighbors in the room next to us. Here's the photo from the sighting in Alvin from the night before: Did you see this UFO? Please report your sighting!
