Wow. A dark grey craft as big as 5 acres - which "kind of" looked like "Batman's Batwing" - silently and slowly flew over Fort Hood, and created a mini earthquake in the process, waking up two people and drawing them outside their home. After the craft left, two apache helicopters followed suit. Unfortunately we have no video or photo of the encounter, but we do have a very detailed description of it: We were woken up by what felt like an earthquake at 03:50 central time. We ran outside and the air and ground was vibrating like standing next to a very loud speaker with a lot of bass. A bit faster than a heart beat. There was no sound. The craft was moving about 20mph in a W to E direction ... a little NE... heading toward Killen/Fort Hood, TX. The craft was as big as my 5 acres. There was no sound, no lights, the craft was illuminated by my street light. It was a very dark grey and we could see features ... not very symmetrical in nature. The craft was disk shape with a center fuselage, split down the middle, with the fuselage in-between the two disks. The fuselage was semi-square with rounded edges and corners. Kind of like Batman's Batwing... kind of. The disk was about 30 feet thick/tall. There was no bevel or curve to shape. It was a big squarish disk split in half with a squarish fuselage. It took about 5 minutes before it disappeared into the darkness. It did not zip away. There was swoosh just the steady deep earth shaking vibrations. No damage to my home or trees or anything. Enough vibration to wake us up and to make us run outside. Shortly afterward (a minute or two), two apache Helicopters followed after it, traveling about the same speed. We've got a case of "the boy who cried Chinese lanterns" on our hands. I really don't think we're suddenly experiencing this epidemic of Chinese lanterns that for some reason don't look ANYTHING AT ALL like Chinese lanterns. I'm all about solving a good mystery - believe it or not, I love debunking a UFO sighting. Because I love closing a case. But I'm sorry, news reporters and YouTube commentators, you are all really failing hard at this debunking thing! Texas has been inundated... INUNDATED... with "triangle" UFO sightings - meaning people have been seeing crafts with three lights, or perhaps three lights traveling together, for a solid few months now. One of the more famous mass sightings was at Austin's ACL fest recently, and again - people have attempted to debunk it as, you guessed it.. Chinese lanterns. It's laughable, they look NOTHING like Chinese lanterns. Another intriguing sighting came out of Tomball recently, but those were debunked as skydivers (you can compare footage of the skydivers to the UFOs and make up your own mind). According to a witness who commented on TUS, there's no way the Tomball lights were skydivers! Now we've got another sighting of three lights traveling in formation together - this time in San Antonio over a period of two nights. Tons of people saw it, including someone on Twitter. But along with this sighting, is another attempt to debunk it as Chinese lanterns. So, I guess Chinese lanterns showed up two nights in a row, and then preceded to look nothing like Chinese lanterns... 2 nights in a row? You can read quotes from the News 4 San Antonio news story and watch the TV report below: "It was scary," said Irene Trujillo. "But it was awesome too at the same time. Because you're like seeing something; not knowing if you're going to get zapped." Here's a close up of one of the San Antonio UFOs that were spotted: And here are some of the theories and comments flying around on the web from fellow witnesses and others interested in the sighting: My boy and I saw 2 orange looking orbs a few days ago. I don't know what it was but it looked like those 2 orange ones in the video...the 2 we saw were at the same angle as the ones in the video which is weird. - AlternativeInformation on YouTube Did you see these UFOs, or anything similar in Texas recently? Someone spotted a bluish light hovering in the night sky, except then it started to dance around in the sky quite suspiciously. The witness kindly submitted their testimony to TUS, and speculates if this is the "new star everyone's talking about," which you can read more about here. Here's the full report: I seen a blueish and purplish light in the sky it was small and faint like a star but then started moving. This was last night, November 12, 2013 at 1:30 am.
Someone out in Paris, TX heard what sounded like a jet, and when they went out to investigate, they saw some kind of object spiraling through the sky. The witness is not at all sure what they saw, and admits it could have been an optical illusion. Earlier in the month, someone spotted an object or plane that looked to be on fire, hovering in the sky and then disappearing. This sighting sounds similar to that. Read the full report, kindly submitted to TUS by a reader: About 4:30 this evening I was in my back yard. I heard a jet that, for this area, seemed loud. I started scanning the sky toward where the sound seemed to be coming from but couldn't see anything. I started looking in a different direction and spotted what looked like a fighter aircraft tumbling out of control. The weird thing was it wasn't falling. It was traveling away from me (to the north east). I kept watching it for a few seconds trying to figure out what was going on when it suddenly disappeared. I don't know if it was an optical illusion or what. Very strange.
Someone in Austin spotted a fiery object in the sky and speculated about what it could be with fellow witnesses (a plane? something on fire?) - you can read quotes and watch the full video below. This is the latest in a long line of similar sightings. To viewers, the UFO appears to hover in the sky, changing from red to white to orange. Then it just disappears in the blink of an eye. Planes, helicopters, satellites, and stars don't sit their in the sky for over a minute, and then mysteriously vanish. Could this be a flare... or something else far stranger? Is it a plane? If you saw this light over Austin, report your sighting!
