Several red lights were spotted hovering over Palacios Bay - they seemed to make formations but then vanished, one by one. Apparently, there were a total of 20 of them, but only a handful were caught on camera.
Watch the YouTube video and mute if you're sensitive to bad language - the witnesses are understandably in awe of what they're seeing, and like many of us would do, are cursing out the wa-zoo as a result! Don't worry, I provided some censored quotes so you can read along without listening along if you so choose:
They're just coming off the ground - them red lights!
Did you spot these lights hovering over the coast of Texas? Could they have been Chinese lanterns? Their behavior lends itself to that theory, but they certainly weren't twinkling like lanterns tend to do! Report your sighting if you saw these, or share your theories on what these were in the comments!
A Hutto resident saw a strange "star" in the sky - except it wasn't really a star, more like a triangle shaped object just hovering there in the sky. Like many UFOs tend to do, it mysteriously disappeared. Fortunately the mother of the witness submitted a photo and secondhand account of the sighting to MUFON. Check the photo and report out below, and also compare to it recent sightings in Dallas and in and around Hutton!:
I was inside watching TV when my daughter came in from outside. She told me there was a weird looking star in the sky and asked me to come outside and see it. When I went outside I did not see the object. We live underneath a very busy approach path for the Austin international airport. So she sees approching aircraft every night and knows what they look like. She describes the object as a triangle or Chevron shape object just hovering high in the sky high enough that a plane flew underneath it.she said its stay hovering there for a few seconds and when she came to get me and we both went outside it had already disappeared. She did take a picture of it with her phone and it looks like a chevron against a black sky.
Have you seen strange things in the sky in Central Texas recently? Report your sighting to TUS! As always, if you have thoughts on what this object - or these objects! - could have been, please share them in the comments.
"We stopped to take a picture, and it seemed like it stopped, too." - UFO Follows Car from Austin to Giddings
TUS received a report of a UFO that seemed to follow a Texan for a good 30 miles as they drove from Austin to Giddings. The report is somewhat vague, but you can read it and see the photo below:
Stayed with us for thirty some miles . Only once did it noticeable move quickly and then returned back to its position. We stopped to take a picture and it seemed like it stopped too. Look closely at pics taken with my phone from highway 290.
I will try to get more information about this sighting (by themselves, the photo and report are difficult to make too much of!), but in the meantime, please let TUS know if you saw something strange in the Elgin or Austin area recently!
A Dallas resident witnessed a frightening event: a strange, circular shaped object with multi-colored lights getting closer and closer to their house. As it passed overhead, it disappeared, but fortunately the witness was able to snap a photo. They kindly and anonymously submitted the photo and a full description of what they saw to TUS:
Around 11PM I noticed a slow moving object in the sky. It was circular with blue, green, red, and yellow lights. There was also some halo around it. As it got closer I became more frightened. I had never seen anything like this ever. It became a bit more pronounced and it was loud. It went over my house and then it quickly disappeared. The photo was taken as it was going over my house right before it disappeared. Had I not had my flash on I'm certain it would've captured a great photo.
Did you see a weird craft flying around in Dallas, too? Report a UFO!
"I knew it was a once in a lifetime situation" - Video of Orb Hovering in Sky Near Round Rock, & Other Related Sightings
Thanksgiving ushered in a new wave of UFO sightings that I'm having trouble keeping on top of! Seriously, I have like 50 reports in the queue, and probably half have great photos and videos to go with them. Seriously!
One of the latest reports to hit MUFON details a sighting of an orange orb, noticed by a star gazer after they were viewing Venus through their telescope. The video doesn't really conclude anything because it could easily be debunked as a star or satellite or even solitary Chinese lantern. However, a friend of the witness spotted something similar the other day - on December 12th - and shared their photo. Are these objects the same thing?
Apparently, the town where these objects were caught on camera is full of other witnesses of similar orbs. Check out photos of the November 28th and December 12th orbs right here:
Here's a photo of ANOTHER December 12th orb (or craft), reported to have chased a driver on the road in Temple... it looks awfully similar to the photos above:
And here's video of the original orange orb that was spotted on the 28th:
At last, here's the full MUFON report of the Thanksgiving night sight:
On thanksgiving night (11-28-13) around 8 I was looking at Venus through my telescope in my yard, my house was directly behind me. I started viewing Venus when it was at the south-eastern sky and continued to view it till it got to the northeast sky. At that time, around 8:50 or 9:15 I got tired of looking at Venus and turned around, 180 degrees, and pointed my telescope to Jupiter when I noticed the orb. It was impossible for me not to notice it once I had turned around because it was hovering about 2 yards from my rooftop and about 5 yards from me physically. At first i thought it was a paper ballon or some sort of paper that caught on fire and the wind had lifted it up off the ground but after further inspection it looked like a stationary flame and I was immediately blown. I wanted to yell for my dad to come take a look but I knew it was a once in a life time situation so I pulled out my iPhone trying as best to resist the urge of excited. In fact I was so shocked that I thought I was taking Video but realized it was only on the camera so I snapped a picture and switched to video. Right after I snapped the picture the stationary flame turned into a perfect sphere and began moving towards the north. It moved slowly, as it moved towards the north it elevated to the tree-top hight and continued it's path towards the north. Meanwhile my dogs were going haywire-barking from the bottoms of their lungs. As I tried running to the top of my door steps I lost sight of the orb over the rest of the trees. I ran inside and began yelling excitingly, showing my family the picture and video, until there was an eerie atmosphere in the kitchen. No one Believed me so I just put it off and ha dinner with my family. Two weeks later, today (12-12-13), my neighbor snapped a photograph of a similar colored orb moving across his farm. I decided to post these photos online and a flood of people around my town began confessing to seeing a same color orb...each sighting occurred on a Thursday and all sighting in rural areas.
