On Christmas Eve, a strange light was spotted traveling over the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Was it aliens? Was it Santa? Was it something easier to explain, like a drone or plane? Check out the witness photos (which are screenshots from a video) and testimony submitted to MUFON (case 112892) and let me know what you think:
At 11:30 approximately, I stepped out into the back yard and observed a light coming in low on the horizon far away. We videoed i as it passed over.
11/27/2017 Update: The witness has followed up with me since sending in this report. Here's what they had to say (and it seems a few online agree with their sentiment): "I looked up lantern events in that area for that date. I found no related events during that time on the internet. I have no explanation for what we saw. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I was traveling from Houston, TX to Joshua, TX for Thanksgiving celebrations that week."
A quick, but great video showing a large collection of bright, twinkling lights hovering in the nighttime sky over Texas has been submitted to TexasUFOs. But could these lights simply be Chinese lanterns or even stars? As always, you be the judge. Check out the video and testimony sent in by a witness who wishes to remain anonymous:
Seen odd light grouping in the sky. Believe we were passing through Alvarado, TX.
Do you also live in the area? If you saw these mystery lights as well, help crack this case and report your sighting!
Do you have theories on what these UFOs could be? Are they easy enough to explain as Chinese lanterns, or are these surveillance drones or aliens? You can put your theories in the comments below or share them on Facebook , Twitter or Instagram!

Texan Cory Cole spotted a fiery object in the sky behaving rather oddly (like shooting other objects out of it). Cole was kind enough to submit a photo and testimony to TUS:
I was driving along I 35 when I saw a k Iight in the sky that looked like a ball of fire all the sudden three objects came out of the ball and it looked like they hovered or floated in opposite directions at a rapid pace.
This might have been a military flare, burning air craft, or meteor, but as of right now, it's a big mystery. If you saw this UFO, help us solve the mystery by sending a report!
