"I watched it hover for about 5 minutes" - Large Star-like Object Disappears Over Fort Worth Area6/19/2020
A report of a very large star-like object that hovered for several minutes before vanishing in thin air has been reported to Texas UFO Sightings. This type of sighting - of "stars" that disappear - is common here in Texas, and around the world. So, what are people seeing? Are these alien spaceships, or is there an easier explanation? Read the latest testimony, graciously sent in by the witness, Chuck: I live south of Fort Worth, in the Crowley/Burleson area. I had gotten up to get a drink and noticed through the window a bright light low to the horizon to the north. I figured it was probably an aircraft coming in to DFW, but it wasn't moving very fast if at all. I watched it hover for about 5 minutes when it flashed and then disappeared. There was other air traffic in the area which was easily identifiable as aircraft, moving and looking like planes should.

June 15th, 2020 Update: I followed up with the witness and asked if these UFOs could have been Chinese lanterns; I sent them a video of what lanterns looked like, as a reference. Here's what they had to say: I talked your email over with my daughter and son-in-law, and we all agree it wasn't lanterns, for three reasons:
A possible sighting of UFOs over the Fort Worth area has been submitted to Texas UFO Sightings. Although no photos or videos were taking of the event, a detailed testimony was written. I am wondering if this witness may have seen Chinese lanterns, but I am not concluding that just yet, due to the apparently fast speed of these objects and other details in the report. It is possible that lanterns were launched celebration of Memorial Day. As always, check out this case, and let me know what you think! Serenevictoria writes: I have never in my 68 years seen anything in the sky that wasn't explainable (sp), so hoping someone can explain this. My family and I were just sitting outside eating a late dinner. My son-in-law suddenly pointed to the sky and said, "What the heck is that?" At first, we thought it was an airplane. But the object didn't blink and the color remained a constant orange/yellow color...Very bright colors. It was approximately star-shaped and flew much faster than an airplane. And it was totally silent. It flew West and blinked out as We watched. We were discussing it and, approximately 5 -7 minutes later, another appeared. Same color and size, absolutely silent. Over the next 20 minutes, a total of five appeared within 5-7 of each other. The third was larger than the others, but still totally silent and appeared to be flying lower and closer. This time, it blinked out shortly after passing us overhead. Each time, the other objects flew West and each blinked out and disappeared in the distance. Did anyone else see these tonight? My son-in-law attempted to video on his phone, but we're having problems uploading...I will upload when we ascertain the problem.
TexasUFOs receive a report of a bright object with a hole, which upon further inspecting looked like a very odd platform. To add to the strangeness, the UFO's "engine" also made a "whirling whistling" noise. Read testimony from Croley. The craft stayed in the same area for a long period of time: A glow that moved slowly with a black hole in the side that had a spotlight that glowed in 3 lights. it move slowly from north to south and is still there. I just looked again it's still there. I hear a whirling whistling gigantic wind engine but don't smell or see exhaust. It looked like an open observation deck or a vent with a porch like area well lit up very clear and prominently displayed.
Do you live in Texas? Did you see this UFO as well? Report your sighting!
While driving on the road, a Texan spotted a large object hovering in the sky. Then it shot off to the West before very fast - it appeared again when the driver entered their neighborhood and even seemed to land: I was headed North on FM 731 toward Crowley at around 5:30 pm when about to pass the NW turn for Hampton Rd, I noticed an object hovering over the central Crowley area. I kept an eye on it for about a minute, when I decided to then change lanes so I could get closer to the area a bit faster (slow traffic). As I glanced in my blind-spot and looked back at the road, after changing lanes, the object was gone. I then looked off into the West (setting sun) and noticed a tiny sparkling object headed due West. It appeared the object was reflecting the sunlight. After a few seconds the object made an evasive maneuver in a very sharp hook shape. The object left a contrail behind it (about twice the length of the object). The speed was very rapid and definitely not what modern aircraft could perform, especially with the sharp turns. After a minutes late, I could no longer see the object. Shortly after pulling into my neighborhood I saw the object again, hovering over the I-35 area (East). The object appeared to be landing but I could not tell for sure. That is the last I saw of it. Have you seen any odd behaving crafts in the Fort Worth area? Report your sighting!
