Texas UFO Sightings Reader witnessed a collection of lights hover in the sky, blink in and out, and then take off into the distance . Pretty amazing sight, what could it have been? Read the testimony: My husband and I were heading Eastbound on 380/University Dr, when we noticed four lights, in the shape of a square, hovering very low, further away in the sky, slightly north of 380. As we were sitting in the Kroger/Drug Emporium shopping center parking lot, we continued to watch the lights. They were shining through very wispy light gray clouds. The lights produced a yellowish glow. We then witnessed each light, one by one, fade out, disappearing completely, then reappearing faintly before they shot off through the sky, moving South. It behaved in no way like any aircraft we have ever seen. Unfortunately, it was dusk, and the cloud coverage didn't let my phone camera pick it up. From the time we spotted the lights, to when they finally all flew away, it was ten to twelve minutes. Did you see these lights as well? Help solve the mystery and share your experience!
Someone driving in Denton, TX noticed an object with bright white lights forming a square shape hovering in the sky and then suddenly vanishing in mid air. Here is the anonymous testimony submitted to Texas UFO Sightings: I was driving at night, around maybe 10:30pm. I was stuck on some highway traffic near the airport. From a distance I can see something floating in the sky with lights that I assumed was a plane so I ignored it. It was fairly low and going a steady pace. I get a little closer and I'm right underneathe this object...it had four white lights in the shape of a square perfectly aligned from each other. I get a closer look and no airplane is shaped like a square. With four lights. Bright lights at that. The clouds were easy to see through and what I saw was floating on it's side at first but still spinning slowly. I keep staring and I couldn't get any photo because I was driving alone. It goes through these visible clouds you can see through and I'm still watching it. I never once took my eyes off and next thing I know know, it disappears...gone..just like that. I kept looking through the clouds and nothing. No lights, just gone. I sit in awe driving with a blank state and I try to convince myself it's a airplane or jet or something but I see a airplane shortly after and it goes through the clouds and I still can see it. This was no airplane. But what was it? Can you help solve this mystery? Did you see this, too? Report your UFO encounter!
Compare photos from recent reports of such an object in the Lone Star State... is this Venus or something else entirely? And here are details on the latest of these sightings! Here's the full MUFON report from a November 23rd sighting of a vanishing star in Denton, corroborated by another witness ("Dee") who comments:
Second to last, we have another November 26h sighting of a green, triangular shaped light ("arrow") in Luling behaving not so star like, more like shooting star like: Received a call stating 2 ufo were in the sky, went outside, in the south/southeast heard swish/whir sound, dogs howling from serveal directions. There was a bright strobe like light flashing from the north/northwest moving south by southwest, appeared lower to the ground. After being outside awhile we walked heading west looking in the sky, the caller said they were still in sight. Just before coming in, on three occasions saw three greeish light shooting from high in the sky going south/southwest downward, they looked like a shooting star, fading the closer it came to the ground, speed was very fast. The ufo was high in the sky, south, the lights of it made a shape like an arrow with the tip pointing east, the shaped changed or moved. Got to cold went inside after 20 minutes or so, the shape was still in the sky. The noise (heard in the south/southeast)had stopped maybe 5 minutes are so of being outside, the bright flashing light in the north disapeared after ten minutes or so. Another person's account thought the ufo was like a group of glesting stars moving from east to west very slowly. All three of us observed the shooting orb type light and the ufo had moved in location. Finally, a report out of Port Neches, also from November 26th, featuring a blue green light in motion... it was kindly submitted to TUS by a reader: Green/blue light was swirling high in the sky, I was on the phone with my sister and told my husband to come look too, for about a min it was just there swirling then you can tell it slowed down and starred descending straight down, very straight and very slow. Never seen anything like it, and I lived on a navy base a long time. Have you seen this strange... star? Report your UFO sighting! View Mystery Star Sightings in a larger map
Yesterday evening, a really gigantic asteroid got a little too close for comfort, if you ask me. Not to worry, NASA says, because it's too far away to harm us. However, on that same token they say they are ramping up efforts to detect threats like these in advance and prevent them from damaging the planet. Hey Obama, can we get NASA more funding!? Meanwhile... on the very same evening Texans spotted some pretty spectacular meteors, so certainly the asteroid has - at the very least - flung some stuff our way... and are likely, if not certainly agitating our current wave of storms. Check out these riveting descriptions, reported into the wonderful resource AMSMeteors.org: A bright streak, going up and to the right, that quickly faded, no smoke, just a very bright streak.. I would like to know if anyone else saw, recorded or reported this phenomenon, it seemed odd that it appeared to be going up, but I'm guessing it was an optical illusion due to its trajectory as it entered the atmosphere. - Adam H. in College Station This video surfaced a few hours ago of what appears to be Asteroid 1998 QE2 in action: Here are a few interesting quotes from the USA Today article: Astronomers plan to study asteroid set to pass Earth to avert future catastrophes. |
