I took a photo that night like I always do since my first sighting, and captured this. It pops up and disappears in a Live Photo so had to take screenshot.

There was an aura or haze around the object, There were aircraft in the vicinity or aircraft chasing the object

I am posting this story on behalf of a friend who actually witnessed this craft and after sending me a picture I am compelled to report

Flying saucer in the sky

Me and my sister were driving home around 7:20 pm and looked up in the sky and noticed 4 bright lights in a straight line and we took a video and zoomed in and the object was a saucer.

A late 1940s sighting in a rural Texas setting.

I was a small child playing in the back yard of my rural East Texas home when I saw it. My mother was inside and I called to her several times to come look. Finally I said "Mommy, come look at this funny looking moon". It seemed to have been hovering while I was alone but when she came out it started to move, slowly to the northeast.
We walked around the corner of the house to find that our elderly neighbors were also watching it from across the road.
It moved directly over our house from southeast to northwest. There were no memorable flashing lights but a disk or "saucer" like object that seemed to be sitting still then moved away with deliberation. We watched until it was out of our sight.
It was smaller than a full moon but still perfectly round, so it must have been fairly close to the ground, perhaps five to ten thousand feet.
There was no sound.
Mother and I discussed this many times over the years but I still have a vivid memory of the event.
