Credit to the UFOB twitter account for this great case: According to an April 9th, 1950 news report in the Amarillo Sunday Times (I was not able to find the original issue, but there are a few references online), 12 and 9-year-old cousins, David and Charles Lightfoot, were out fishing when they first spotted a "balloon" in the sky - except upon closer inspection, it wasn't a balloon at all... The two young boys could see the saucer in detail, and shared their encounter with reporters; David described the craft as "as big or round as a big automobile tire" and explained how "the bottom was still, but the top was spinning around real fast, and on the top of the part that was spinning around there was a little peak that had a kind of spindle thing sticking out of it. The spindle was still, too. It must have been connected to the bottom part." After watching the saucer land, David ran up to it, and managed to touch it, before it took off "like it was on a string" and disappeared into the sky. The boy described the UFO as feeling "slick" and "hot," like a "snake would." His father said the boy had an inexplicable sunburn with welts upon returning home. This is similar to another case in Texas - the Cash Landrum incident, in which a witness approached a UFO and was burned as a result. Now, the flying saucer sightings are absolutely fascinating to me. Although they are reported today (see the witness drawings below), there appears to have been a wave of them in Texas in the 50s (see video about those cases below Some of the details these Texas boys describe about the flying saucer they saw remind me of the details of a witness to a saucer in Germany around the same time! ), and so it is hard not to imagine these cases to be connected. A really intriguing testimony, as well as drawings, of a flying saucer UFO over Austin has been submitted to MUFON (case 120716). The event occurred more than a decade ago, but as far as I know, this is the first time it is getting reported online. I could not find any other reports from Austin in 2005 like this, but if you know more about this sighting, let me know. creepy disc looked at me and dad
According to Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, the DeDe in the Morning show, and other various online sources, a strange ring of lights (you could even say, flying saucer) was spotted over a neighborhood in Dallas. A video showing the UFO was uploaded to multiple channels, sparking news headlines, online comments, and a debate - are aliens invading Texas, or did this witness just misidentify a light pole? In the video, you can hear the witness reacting to the UFO, and you can also watch a plane fly by it. I can't find the original source video, so please let me know if have a link to that, or if you yourself were a witness to this! In the meantime, check out the video and some analysis below, and you be the judge on whether or not this was an extraterrestrial visitation, or a man-made, boring like a street light: I've covered sightings like this before, that were not as easy to debunk as street lights. 2014 was a very active year for these "flying saucers" in Houston, and although I'm sure some photos of street lights ended up in the mix, as far as I know, these sightings were never fully explained:
Video showing a bright ball of light hovering and vibrating over Austin, Texas has been uploaded to YouTube by the witness. In the video, you can hear the witness' on-camera reaction, and it's priceless! The witness is clearly in awe of what they are looking at, describing the UFO as changing shapes from an orb into a disc. At one point, the witness tries to telepathically communicate with the UFO: As my husband and I were driving past Round Rock, Texas on December 21, 2021 at precisely 6:38 pm we noticed a bright ORB light in the clear sky that was motionless from afar. The movement you see is from the car driving forward. Zoomed in it appears to be moving vibrating, helicopter like, but it remains in the same spot glowing to full on ORB orange, red fire to a quick dull craft figure. Thoughts anyone? What do you think this video shows? Could this witness be misidentifying a star, or is something far stranger going on here? Let me know what you think in the comments, or on Facebook or Twitter.
Did you see this UFO, too? Report your sighting! 12/17/2021 Update: The witness has followed up with a drawing they made of the UFO, as well as a clarification on where the sighting occurred - "5 miles south of Putnam TX between the cities of Cisco & Baird." Check out the picture below:
A really detailed testimony of a "metallic looking saucer-shaped object" that would hover and then shoot off at incredible speed has been submitted to me. This UFO was seen back in 2010, but the witness - Danny C - was reluctant to talk about it. Luckily for us, they are now finally coming forward with their story: *(some spelling errors fixed)* |
