8/8/22 Update: The witness has followed up with further detail, which may help us to solve this case. He let me know that he and the guard observed the orb for over five minutes, and during that time frame, it never moved or made a sound. Upon zooming in on the photo, the witness noticed a halo around the UFO. This is a common effect I see on many UFO photos, however, so I'm not sure if that's relevant or not. He also noted that he has a Mechanical Engineering degree, in case that helped add to his credibility. Original story:
Several years ago, a mysterious orb of light was seen hovering over a nuclear pant south of Fort Worth, Texas, according to a description and a photo sent in to me by the witness: I was at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant for work. As I was walking up to the main plant entrance from the parking lot, I saw a white orb, hovering completely still over the plant. I quickly took a picture. One of the security guards was also walking in, and I showed it to him. We watched it for about 5 minutes, and it never moved. He radioed his superiors and we both went inside the plant. A couple of hours later, as I was leaving the plant, I saw the security guard again, and asked him if he learned anything. He said he was told it was a weather balloon. Yea, right. Thousands of feet in the air and not moving a bit. I'm not buying that. A security guard told him it was just a weather balloon, but he doesn't agree. Do you?

A very curious anomaly appeared on a Texas game camera, according to a report sent to TexasUFOs. Check out the photos and testimony sent in by "EvieV" and let me know what you think of this odd-looking photo (a fast-moving craft or bird?) in the comments below, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram: This appeared on my game camera. I did not see it, but I cannot explain it.
Do you live in the Glen Rose, Texas area? Did you happen to see this sight with your naked eyes? Send photos or videos to TexasUFOs.com and help solve this mystery!
Earlier this week, some pretty destructive tornadoes made their mark on North Texas (from Granbury to Fort Worth). Homes were pummeled and people were killed. But there's a new twist to this sad story, adding a little mystery. The RT news network aired footage of one of the twisters and a viewer caught something really sneaky and really neat - a cloud-like UFO zipping right by the twister. Is this a cloaked craft? Is this some sort of natural anomaly produced by a tornado? UFOs have a habit of showing up alongside natural and man-made disasters. Whether it's because there are more eyes on these events, and so more opportunities to spot UFOs, or there's a very real correlation remains to be seen. Watch the video for yourself and let me know what you think it is:
A father and his sons witnessed an extremely big and bright light hovering in the night sky and then moving along eastward. They watched the object for a very long time, and at one point it was so bright it hurt their eyes! That part of the report is probably one of the more interesting details. Of course it's changing states (stationary to moving) are what make this a real UFO. Could it have been a drone? Doesn't seem like it, but I'm open to ideas. : ) Unfortunately the video uploaded by the witness did not show the object move. You can read the full MUFON report right here: On the night of April 7th, 2013, I was on our north facing porch looking up at the sky. I noticed at about the 10 o'clock position in the sky, what appeared to be a satellite moving west to east. Upon further observation, I noticed that it was too big and bright to be a satellite. I moved down off of the porch onto the yard. I began looking for blinking lights signifying an airplane. When I saw no blinking lights, I called my wife's phone for her and the kids to come out and view the object. My youngest son answered my wife's phone and I told him to get oldest son and to come out right away. We observed the object dim and then brighten at which point the oldest son began the 22 second video with his camera phone. The object then became extremely bright to the point of burning our eyes and then dimmed a little. I sent the youngest son in to get my wife to see. Before she could come outside, the object disappeared behind the trees going east. My oldest son then climbed on the roof to get an unobstructed view as it proceeded toward the general vicinity of Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. He climbed to the highest point of the roof holding onto our chimney. The object brightened again as he was getting his phone out to video. At this point, the object increased in speed and curved upward like a blade of a knife and then disappeared before he could catch another video. Here's the video: |
