Daytime Video of Possible Meteor Over Houston

A great video featuring a possible meteor sighting in Houston hit YouTube last week. In it, you can clearly see an object zooming downward, with a smoky trail behind it. According to the witnesses, who can be heard describing the "UFO" while driving in their car, however, the object looked black.

AMSMeteors.org has been FLOODED with fireball reports since the new year began, and a story out of Fort Worth says many in North Texas saw one the night of January 24th, also confirmed on AMSMeteors. Though this was a daytime event, perhaps it was part of a bigger shower?

Doesn't look like an airplane because the trail that it's leaving, it's like... changing.
It's not going completely straight.
Looks really big.
Looks like a big drop, like a really big black drop.

Could this be a jet flying down or even crashing, meteor, or something else?
