The History Channel's hotly-anticipated series, "Project Blue Book," premiered this week to an impressive 3.1 million viewers (making it one of the network's top premiers ever) and a pretty positive, if not cool reception online. Some viewers became instant fans, while others were underwhelmed or even took issue with the series being a work of fiction, versus a documentary. However, most the reviews and comments online were hopeful about the next episode.
FBI.gov currently houses a number of intriguing UFO files (many formerly top-secret) that reveal the US Air Force's nonfiction interest and investigations into the UFO phenomenon. Project Blue Book was one of these investigative groups, and in fact, it was preceded by the top-secret Project Sign and Project Grudge. As recently as December 2017, the New York Times revealed that the Pentagon followed in the footsteps of Project Blue Book, and still considers UFOs to be real, and a potentially real, extraterrestrial threat.
The History Channel series focuses on the cases from the 50s and 60s that Project Blue Book founder, and so-called "father of ufology" J. Allen Hynek would have been close to, like the "Lubbock Lights," but reportedly has plenty of fantasy mixed in. Hynek is the main character in the show, and he's played by Aidan Glenn, famous for playing "Littlefinger" in "Game of Thrones." As with any good scifi drama, the UFO and alien-pursuing Hynek needs a skeptical foil. Enter Captain Michael Quinn, played by Michael Malarkey from "The Vampire Diaries." In the latest YouTube video from TexasUFOs, UFOJane goes through three strange things that astronaut Buzz Aldrin has said, relating to UFOs and space travel:
Former US President George H. W. Bush passed on November 30th, 2018, and he will be laid to rest this Thursday.
Will he be buried with secrets about UFOs and aliens? It's possible. Before George Bush's presidential term of 1989 to 1993, he fought in World War II and was director of the CIA. It was his role in the CIA that had one UFO researcher, Charles Huffer, suspecting that Bush should know something about UFOs. So much so, that Huffer questioned Bush about it at the time of his presidency. Bush was reported to say "I know some ... I know a fair amount."
Bush was also supported space exploration, and was once quoted in a speech as saying "We will travel to neighboring stars, to new worlds, to discover the unknown."
Do you think the former and late US president George Bush was also a believer? Share your ideas on this and more in the comments below, or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
