Meteorite Crashes Through Roof in Thailand

The Lunar Meteorite Hunters blog found a story from the Bangkok Post about a large rock, likely a meteorite, crashing through the roof of a home in Thailand this week.

Due to the charcoal crust of the rock and the loud explosion that preceded the crash,  experts are pretty sure a meteor was to blame.

Fortunately nobody was injured. It was only last year that a man in India was killed by a falling meteorite.

There were no videos or photos of meteors over Thailand from this evening, but there was an extremely bright fireball in the country earlier this year:
