An 8.2-magnitude earthquake shook buildings and tragically claimed the lives of at least 32 souls near Mexico City on Thursday. It was Mexico's most powerful quake in 100 years, occurring right off the heels of deadly hurricanes and flooding in Texas, India and in the Caribbean, and within the same month as the historic solar eclipse over the USA. Not to mention, a large meteorite or fireball lit up the sky in BC, Canada less than a week ago. Right before and during the devastating earthquake, bright flashes of light could be seen by many locals and amazing footage was captured:
Here are some screenshots from the video:
Bright white orbs and mysterious lights - or electrical discharges in the air - are actually commonly seen during earthquakes (like in Japan in 2011) and even volcanic eruptions and other natural disasters. This phenomenon is officially categorized as either ball lightning or earthquake lights, but these lights still remain so mysterious to mainstream scientists, that they tend to only get noticed by firsthand witnesses and UFO researchers and believers.
What do you think of these "earthquake lights" or UFOs in Mexico? Could these lights actually be caused by an explosion? Are these mysterious lights a sign of more dramatic weather events to come? Share your thoughts in the comments below, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

That earthquake was nowhere near Mexico City. The earthquake occoured off the southern coast of Mexico, south of Huatulco. Check it out.
