Unsolved Files: Multiple UFOs Over Bay in Texas

6/16/2016

  • When: February 4th, 2014; during daytime or before dusk
  • Where: Galveston (over Galveston Bay)
  • What: Large gray mass, oval shaped craft, or fireball appears out of nowhere and moves across sky, along with other similar UFOs (with the exception that they are white and that one of them originates from the ground)

A really interesting video from a few years ago has recently surfaced on YouTube, and it shows many different UFOs - resembling white and gray masses (?), perhaps oval-shaped - zipping across the sky, and blinking on and off (or disappearing). One UFO clearly originates from the ground - perhaps a local airport or the water? Watch the video below, which was filmed by someone on board a ferry in Galveston, Texas:

Was riding the ferry from Bolivar and spotted 3 lights flying through the sky too fast to be an aircraft. Fast forward to 3:25 and the first one appears at 3:30 midway up the horizon starting on the left and flying all the way to the right side. The 2nd appears 5 to 10 seconds later, is even more obvious, and seems to originate from land. The 3rd is maybe 10 to 15 seconds after the 2nd. Was thinking shooting star or meteorite but when you consider the 2nd one originating from land (even in front of a building if you look closely)
While the UFOs go unnoticed by the many people below them, who are looking out at the water, neither do other things in the sky, like passing birds. As well, the UFOs disappear when they pass in front of the peoples' heads, so these are definitely off camera.

What's also interesting about these UFOs, is they are very similar to UFOs seen in Japan during and after disastrous earthquakes, as well as into and out of volcanoes all of the world:

I used to live in Galveston and still work there; in short, I'm very familiar with the area. There is indeed a small airport on the island, but it's about 10 miles west from the ferry dock. Right next door to the ferry dock is a Coast Guard station - their helicopters come and go frequently. However watching the video on my phone, I can't really see enough details to say either of those are likely. A possibility that crossed my mind is a pelican. They are numerous here and have a unique style of flying that is more like gliding, so they don't flap their wings as much as many birds. That's my best guess, but can't really tell much, thus by definition they remain UFO's.
