UFO Seen and Photographed Hovering Over Ancient Ruins in Thailand

• When: June 6th, 2001 at 4:20 PM
• Where: Sukhothai Historical Park in Thailand
• What: Bright, oval-shaped light hovering and making humming noise

A tourist visiting some ancient ruins in Thailand was surprised to notice a UFO hovering above them. They also could hear a "humming" sound coming from the object. Luckily, they took a photo and have just now shared it with MUFON (case 99167):

Oval shaped UFO, which was Grey Metallic in color.

I saw a UFO on Holiday in June 2001, Thailand's Unesco Sukothoi World Heritage Site. It appeared as a star like object which was oval in shape under close scrutiny. I took a photograph from distance with no telephoto lens. The object on the photograph appears oval in shape. It could not be a meteor as there is no trail in the sky. There was no airplane traffic in the sky. It is not Venus as it is oval in shape. A Loud electrical humming emanated from the craft and filled the air.

While drones weren't as popular in 2001 as they are today, they did exist. So could this be a drone, perhaps an advanced military one (at the time)?

Or is this photo proof that aliens have visited Thailand?
