A group of friends in Abilene were treated to several UFO sightings in one night. The video below was uploaded by a gun-loving Texan, who frequently uploads stuff to YouTube. However, this particular upload might just be his best so far: it shows five or so orbs, ranging from orange to white, flying through the sky, and randomly appearing and disappearing. According to the narrative, nine in all were observed. Since the footage is so dark, it's pretty hard to make the orbs out, but the background discussion definitely helps paint the picture. Toward the end of the video, a buzzing sound can be heard, but no one discusses it, so I'm guessing it's not related to the UFOs. Here's the video description and video: Me and the wife where talking over at a friends house and seen these yellow lights glowing moving very fast and just disappearing!!! What do you think it is let me know please thanks!!! And a few quotes pulled from the video: "Get it? And here are some comments on the video, from a witness at the scene and from someone who's apparently watched other videos of the same phenomenon: I see others have video of them also. - TwoFeatherChannel

A parent and their son witnessed a light in the sky hovering and darting around the sky for over a half hour. We really wish we could have seen that. It's not every day a UFO hangs out in one part of the sky for so long! Could this have been a drone? Or a satellite - the ISS was over the Abilene area that night, but this is not really the behavior of a satellite. Let us know if you saw anything similar in the Abilene sky on April 8th! Here's the report, which was submitted to our site: My son called me to look out the window where he had been watching a light in the sky for 10 minutes. He had seen it move sharply & abruptly to the left. I went outside and watched from the front porch & the back porch for approximately 20 min. It hovered & the intensity of the light wavered. It moved randomly. I went from front porch to back porch & gauged it's position from objects near the porch. I finally went inside for a few minutes & when I went back out at 12:38 a.m. it had disappeared.
A driver spotted three yellow lights in the sky, hovering in thin air, and then abruptly blinking off. But that wasn't all... more UFOs started blinking on and moving (instead of just hovering), only to disappear again, a pretty common behavior of UFOs like this. Here's the full MUFON report: on feb 26 my aunt and I were coming over an over pass and noticed 3 yellowish lights hovering in the sky, maybe 2-3 miles in front of us, then it looked like they just turned off like a switch. The following night we were on our porch and saw 2 objects moving about the same distance away, and the same thing happened. A few minutes later I saw 4 objects an 2 were moving slowly then they all turned off abruptly. Each event was no more than 2 minutes long. Recently, we reported on a Hawley, TX sighting of a potential meteor on April 16th. Well, now we've got a similar sighting in nearby Clyde on April 20th. Is this resulting in the Lyrid Meteor Shower? UFO description by "Kenneth Wilson," from elpasoallsky.blogspot.com: kenneth wilson Clyde, TX. USA 5:53 central time from my view it was about 2 seconds but could be longer as i lost sight of it behind the trees in my yard i was facing north path of travle was W-S-W to E-N-E at about 20 degrees down. It was out of the clouds when i first saw it then came thru the clouds and disappeared behind the trees in my yard. It was yellow to white in color and i saw it from my angle for about 2 seconds. If Hawley or OKC had there cameras runing they should both have seen it as it was in the area just above the Hawley camera from my prospective. NO sound brighter then venus but not as bright as the full moon. not that i could see none
Abilene Fireball First, there was the meteor-turned-jet-contrail in San Antonio on April 2nd. Well, now we have a sighting from April 16th of a similar fireball in North Texas (in Hawley, near Abilene). The UFO was caught on a special cam. Could these sightings be related to the fireball that recently visited Palm Beach's sky? Was NASA right about the San Antonio sighting being a jet contrail instead of a meteor or true-blue UFO? From elpasoallsky.blogspot.com (where you can also watch a video): At 4:16 A.M. April 16, 2012, Two Sandia Sentinel allsky fireball cameras recorded a significant fireball event over North Texas. If you observed this fireball, we need your reports. Please click here to send us a description of what you saw. Please include your location, the direction you were facing, direction in which the object traveled (i.e. left to right etc.), approximate duration and color and any bright flashes or sounds observed.
