The recent UFO sighting over ACL has spurred quit the conversation online! Many have been quick to debunk these ominous red lights, which formed a clear-cut triangle and quietly lurked over a Cure concert, as Chinese lanterns. A few people have chimed in to say they SAW a launch of Chinese lanterns that evening. A few problems... the videos and photos don't show typical Chinese lanterns. I don't care if you happened to see someone also launching lanterns that evening, this is not what the videos or photos or eyewitness accounts depict. Chinese lanterns or not, sightings of V and triangle-shaped crafts (from Austin to Seguin to Amarillo, and more) with red lights have skyrocketed for Texas over the past several weeks. Just today, TUS received an exclusive report out of San Antonio of "3 sets of 3 glowing red orbs in the distant, the three orbs formed triangle." It was made by a former military member who's used to seeing all kinds of things in the sky... but he was downright baffled by this sight. Here's one of the latest and greatest videos to come from the recent mass UFO sighting in Austin at ACL (pictured above)... what say you, Internet? Chinese lanterns? "They came for the Cure And here's another fresh account of what went down in Austin that night, kindly submitted to TUS by Lisa Farwell-Matthews: We were enjoying The Cure concert at the Austin City Limits Music Festival when I looked up at the search lights pointed over the Lady Bird stage and saw three distinct orange lights in a triangular shape moving slowly over the crowd. I initially thought of flares, but these three lights did not drift or move out of their triangular configuration. Someone suggested Chinese lanterns, but again, these lights remained in a static triangular shape where lanterns would have drifted apart. My friend also saw them. I fumbled with my phone to photograph them and attempted to take a video. I understand now why UFO photos always look like they do. I was shaking and captured one grainy photo, but you can see the three lights in a triangle. We watched them for approximately 2 minutes as they moved slowly west before disappearing into the clouds. I have to say, if that really was a UFO, it was the greatest sighting ever during The Cure's "Hot, Hot, Hot!" As well as more testimony, courtesy of YouTube comments: I was there, and others reported seeing it move across the festival. Apparently there was another red object and a "scout"craft that was aboved and just took off. I initially thought of chinese lanterns but decided that was not the case. So, what do you guys think? Do we have an invasion of Chinese lanterns that like to fly in triangle formation, or an invasion of unidentified flying triangles? As kooky as it sounds, the ladder's the best we can do right now!

A video of a V-shaped craft floating around in the night sky has made its way to YouTube. Apparently, the footage comes from Seguin, but I've yet to track down details from the person who shot it (working on that). Watch the video below, and keep in mind sightings of triangle and v-shaped craft have spiked this month. Do you have details on this sighting? Please comment! And of course, if you've seen any crafts like this in Texas recently, report your sighting.
![]() We've got two confirmed sightings of a strange set of redish orange lights in San Marcos. One was reporting to MUFON, and the other to LightsInTheTexasSky.com. Apparently, many people in the area took notice and tried to capture photos of it, but were unsuccessful. Here's the MUFON report: I was preforming the duties of my job which require me to be outside patrolling at night. I happened to look up (as I like looking at the stars) and I saw 3 red-orange orbs that were then joined by a 4th of the same color and approximately the same size. At first I thought maybe they were stars or meteorites but they where first off moving and then also moving to slowly. I saw them in the sky down the street from where I was and the lights moved toward where I was but not "at" me. You could hear a slight whirring noise as they got closer but they were not planes. The lights almost resemble fire but not really. They were moving over the highway from the direction of Wimberly, Texas very slowly when they were almost over the complex I work at they stopped, hovered a moment and then continued moving slowly toward Seguin, Texas ( I think that is East to West...not really good at the cardinal directions haha). When they were above the complex I work at/ field next the the complex they just disappeared like they were never there. One of the lights did sort of fade come back and then disappear but the others were just gone and the noise with them! Although I am curious about what they were I dont really care...It was exciting. I ran to try to get my family but the lights were gone before they came out. Several people stopped at our complex squealing and yelling excitedly "Did you see that? Did you see that? What were they?" Another person said that people were stopped in the street in town trying to take videos and photos...he said they wouldnt come out on his own camera and my phone wasnt strong enough to pick them up as I have an older phone. And the other: My 15 year old daughter and I spotted 7 bright orange ball looking objects flying over San Marcos, Tx on 05/11/2012 at 9:25 PM. We followed them around in our vehicle for appox. 7 to 8 minutes until they just disappeared into what seemed to be thin air. There bright lights were also dimming and then brightening constantly.
