Well, we've got two MUFON reports confirming a fiery light in the sky, shooting objects/lights down to the ground. This sounds like a military or road flare, but if it's not, this is definitely a UFO for the books. Read the latest MUFON report here: At approximately 06:45am on 3/13/13 I was returning from a morning walk in my neighborhood. As I turned on to my street I observed what I thought was a firework or some sort of aerial pyrotechnic in the West / South Western sky. I observed a bright orange fireball like object that appeared to be "dropping pieces" falling straight to the ground. These pieces also looked like fireworks or flares, and they seemed to fall straight down like being dropped off a tall building, not like a flare from an aircraft or meteor disintegrating into in the atmosphere. These pieces did not seem to be moving in any other direction than down. While these pieces were falling the object varied in brightness, occasionally getting darker and brighter, but remained what appeared to be stationary in the sky. I continued to walk to my house for another 3-5 minutes after initially seeing the object. And upon arrival at my house I observed this object for approximately another 3 minutes before it seemed to disappear. I had an unobscured view of the object from the time I first observed it to the time I could no longer see it. There were no other aircraft in the vicinity of the object during my observation

I live in Haltom as well and saw the exact same thing this morning (May 8th) just before 4:00. The orange object was stationary and was already dropping what appeared to be fire of the same color all the way to the ground, so I do not know how long the entire event lasted, however I observed this for about two minutes before the object disappeared. I have seen flares from military aircraft before, but nothing like this. I find it very odd that this was observed on two different days in the same area. If I had to guess I would say the object was at least a thousand feet up and some of the fire even appeared to make it all the way down to the ground which makes me think that this was not intentional due to fire hazards in a heavily populated area. The fire was dropping straight down. There were aircraft in the sky, but nothing close to the object.

I am uncomfortable with the large amount of military helicopter activity in the Haltom City area. I have lived in many towns, but I never have I seen so many unusual incidents in the same place, in such a short time. What's with this town?
