Well, we've got two MUFON reports confirming a fiery light in the sky, shooting objects/lights down to the ground. This sounds like a military or road flare, but if it's not, this is definitely a UFO for the books.
Read the latest MUFON report here:
At approximately 06:45am on 3/13/13 I was returning from a morning walk in my neighborhood. As I turned on to my street I observed what I thought was a firework or some sort of aerial pyrotechnic in the West / South Western sky. I observed a bright orange fireball like object that appeared to be "dropping pieces" falling straight to the ground. These pieces also looked like fireworks or flares, and they seemed to fall straight down like being dropped off a tall building, not like a flare from an aircraft or meteor disintegrating into in the atmosphere. These pieces did not seem to be moving in any other direction than down. While these pieces were falling the object varied in brightness, occasionally getting darker and brighter, but remained what appeared to be stationary in the sky. I continued to walk to my house for another 3-5 minutes after initially seeing the object. And upon arrival at my house I observed this object for approximately another 3 minutes before it seemed to disappear. I had an unobscured view of the object from the time I first observed it to the time I could no longer see it. There were no other aircraft in the vicinity of the object during my observation
