Aircraft Seen Chasing Saucer-shaped Craft in Austin?

• What: Red, round, lit-up craft

A wild-looking photo appearing to show a fiery saucer-shaped object zipping through the night sky has been submitted to NUFORC (case S171560); the photo was sent along with secondhand testimony of a UFO being chased by nearby aircraft.

What's interesting is a few days later in nearby Lago Vista, another witness made a similar UFO report to NUFORC. Both reports detail a round craft with  "haze" around it.

But did someone really see a "flying saucer" over Austin, Texas? Or is this just some hoax? The up-close photo could truly be of anything (for example, a lamp) as there's no frame of reference to show that the photo was taken of the sky.
