Just saw this over Austin Tx skyline. The bottom tip would get bright, then dim randomly. The tail was also getting shorter upon decent. What is it?
I couldn't find other fireball reports and no meteor showers should be occurring right now, but it seems like we are seeing more and more surprising fireballs like this, implying that space weather is a little unpredictable right now, or there's just more space junk out there than before.
