Through binoculars, a Texan spotted a bright amber orb in the sky, twice the size of Jupiter. If that was all there was to it, you could easily shrug it off as a star, planet, or satellite. However after about 10 seconds of viewing it, it abruptly disappeared (as the best UFOs tend to do). This is the second sighting of the past few weeks to feature a sighting near Mexico - earlier in the month, someone witnessed a similar UFO in the Brownsville area. I don't usually get many reports from South Texas, so I find that interesting, but don't have any reason to believe (so far) that the sightings are related. Apparently there were multiple witnesses, as the witness only ventured out to look for the UFO after hearing "reports of something in the western sky." Did you see this UFO? Let me know. Here's the full MUFON report: After hearing of reports of something in the western sky. I scanned the evening sky with my binoculars. While viewing a orange amber light suddenly appeared. The amber orb was circular and bright and about the twice the size of the planet Jupiter if viewing through the naked eye. It appeared over Mexico or some miles from the Rio Grande/US MX Border. The event lasted for about 10 seconds and then the object disappeared.

Here's a great sighting: an experienced star gazer leaves their office to pick up a friend, and spots a very bright, peculiar star in the sky. After observing it for a little bit, they notice that it's pulsating, vibrating, and changing colors (red, green, blue). As if this isn't strange enough, it then starts to move and actually follows them as they got into their car to leave their office. Although the witness loses sight of it temporarily, it reappears and even shows up later for their friend. The original witness feels "honored to have witnessed something like this." Here's the full MUFON report, a worthy read: I Got a call from a friend that needed a ride. I always watch the skies it's one of the first things I do when I step outside. I saw what at first what appeared to be a very abnormal star I thought it was possibly a planet. The longer I looked at it I noticed that it would start to pulsate. It became larger and smaller and also change colors from red to green and blue. The color change would be both abrupt at times and smoother at other times. After about 5 minutes of staring at this thing I convinced myself that it was something natural I'd never seen before. As I left my office to pick up my friend I noticed that the object was following me as I drove. I knew it was moving with me because it was passing in front of and by other stars. At this time it would actually disappear and reappear. When I arrived at my destination I parked and waited for my friend to get in the car. As I waited I thought I had lost it, when it suddenly reappeared. I observed it staying stationary for about 3 minutes and it suddenly in the blink of an eye re-positioned itself in the sky. I'm no expert judging the distance but stars don't do that and planes certainly don't either. My friend got in the car I told her about what I was seeing and had her observe the object. She initially thought, as i did, that it was a star or planet until it started flashing, moving, and disappearing for her as well. After I dropped her off It followed me back to my office. I observed the same things for a while and then finally went back inside. This is my second sighting but my first in this area and the first report I've made. I feel honored to have witnessed something like this.
A Texan who regularly scans the sky for cool sights was lucky enough to spot a UFO - a star-like object hovering (unsuspiciously, like a star or planet or even satellite would do) and then making a sudden move, and eventually changing directions (following along a "J" path) and seemingly headed off toward Mexico. What's especially interesting is the witness of this event says he's seen similar UFOs before, and has even tried to report on them, but never had pictures until now. The photos he submitted to MUFON are blurry and not terribly revealing, but they do show two objects in the sky. Could this have been a helicopter? A satellite? Here's the full MUFON report (photo below): I had initially tried to contact the MUFON investigator that had contacted me before via email but got no response. Hello Mr. (name withheld). It has been awhile since our last communication but I did not see it necessary to contact you without some kind of photographic proof. Well, I finally got lucky and got a few pics of an object that I believe I had seen once before about a month and a half ago that ended up going on the same course. At that time my daughter had tried to film it with a digi cam but it had already sped out of range in a southern direction. This sighting was about 9:30 ish' p.m. I say "it" because I think it might be the same object, maybe that I saw and photographed this morning. Both objects just appeared to be balls of light. It was about 6:20 this morning of 4/7/2013 and I was coming out of my parents house headed over to mine. As usual, I scanned the sky but did not see anything moving or out of the ordinary. I was in between both houses in the front yard and began playing with my two dogs(the dogs were not effected by the object) for just a bit when I decided to go ahead and proceed inside my house when I took a glance to the West skyward. At first one of the bright stars which I thought it was, was not moving but then all of a sudden it started moving which startled me. I watched it for about two seconds and it's direction was headed eastward toward the gulf or my direction. I then ran into my house and grabbed my camera which is a kodak Z981. I have to tell you I did have a feeling of excitement with a bit of fear because I did not expect what I thought was a distant star or planet to just start moving. When I got back outside and was preparing the camera, the object then made a J movement and changed direction southward toward Mexico with an increase in speed. I did however manage to get one good pic that is steady. The first is shaky but the object is somewhat visible. The second is shaky with no object but the third is decent with the object being able to be seen in photo view zoomed in. It does have a shape that reminds me of a tadpole flying backwards wich shows it actually has more than one light. This will be the third object I have seen that has taken the same southerly course toward Mexico. The first being what my wife and I saw when I first submitted my report to MUFON back in September of 2011 and the one I saw about a month and a half ago. I will probably get some rest now since I have been awake all night but I wanted to send you this as soon as possible. And here's the best photo of the lot, zoomed in. I do see two objects in the sky, but I'm not sure which one the witness is referring to:
A very fast object zooms past stars and satellites, according to a YouTube video uploaded by a routine star gazer (who participates in CSETI - or Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence - meetings). See some screen shots below and pay close attention to the beginning of the video (also posted below). And here's the video description: During our cseti meeting we spotted this very fast UFO/OVNI. And the video, of course:
Okay, guys, you are going to have to help me confirm or debunk this one. I did not expect to be blogging about the horrific, deadly explosion of a West, Texas fertilizer plant this morning. I'm heartbroken for all those who lost homes and family members and I really don't like turning the story into a UFO story, but there is all kinds of talk on the web about a possible UFO or fireball that hits the building before the explosion. I did not see a UFO/fireball, and I've reluctantly watched the videos of the explosion over and over again. So far, I'm not buying it. Saying that, if there was some sort of missile, meteor or drone at the scene of the crime, that's a huge news story, worthy of a cover up, and I'd like to get these rumors on the public record. Supposedly a gif was posted showing a UFO clearly hit the building, but it's been taken down. Here's the lousy screen shot I took that may or may not show the UFO, you see a big burst of light before the big explosion - I don't think it is: And the reason for all this speculation, some quotes from online forums, specifically GodLikeProductions.com and AboveTopSecret.com: I paused it right when the fireball enters the screen from the left... I can see the movement from left to right and it hits the building then explodes. Maybe someone with better equipment and get a good shot or 2 of it and post. And the video (caution: this is shocking): |
