A TexasUFOs.com reader saw and photographed a weird, misty, blue spherical light hovering and disappearing and reappearing over El Paso in August. The light actually showed up on two different evenings, and both times it was during a storm:
I couldn't get this picture to upload on the website but this is from 08/08/17 9:29pm. It was super bright and stayed strong for about 5 minutes and then slowly faded to nothing. It came back for another 2 minutes and faded away completely again. There was a big storm that night and it just hid behind the clouds when it did appear. It appeared again during another storm on 08/14/17 at 8:50 and did the exact same thing. This was in El Paso TX on George Dieter and Edgemere.
Could this simply be a spotlight? Or something more mysterious going on, like a nearby explosion, rare weather phenomenon, or even alien visitation? Share your theories on this sighting and more in the comments below or on social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram).
This is not the first time an eerie blue fog has been photographed over Texas in recent memory. A similar sight was reported in San Antonio in November:
Video showing several blinking lights hovering together in the night sky and then gradually moving away from each other and disappearing has been uploaded to YouTube:

Great footage showing bright solid blue orbs of light hovering and disappearing and reappearing, along with some strange isolated spots of thunder and lightning, has been uploaded by the witness to YouTube.
Here's a screenshot of one of the orbs that is the easiest to see on video:
Here are a few screenshots that show some of the lightning occurring in the area:
Although only one orb can be clearly seen in the video, the witness describes on camera seeing multiple orbs just like it, some even moving.
Perhaps this witness has simply filmed planes or drones flying through a typical Texas thunderstorm (the isolated pockets of thunder and lightning are not, by themselves, paranormal or super mysterious). Or are these blue orbs something far more mysterious, perhaps even a result of the storm itself, like "ball lightning," or as the witness suggests, ETs harnessing the power of the storm's electrical energy to charge up their spacecrafts? An El Paso YouTuber witnessed strange lights one evening and fortunately captured them on video and uploaded the footage online. In the video, you can hear the witness share their own detailed analysis of the event; the video of the sighting actually begins at the 3:30 mark:
The lights shown in the video could be spotlights, however it is odd that they only appear on the clouds, and not in the sky, and it is also odd that there is another UFO - clearly not a spotlight - blinking and hovering nearby.
What are your theories on this sighting? Are these just spotlights showing up next to a drone, or something far stranger than that, as this El Paso resident suspects? Share your theories in the comments below or on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
If you also live in the area and saw these lights, report your sighting, and help crack this case!
Really phenomenal photos and testimony detailing an extremely large, bright UFO hovering in the daytime sky in El Paso, Texas, has been submitted to MUFON (case 84585):
On the drive back home from Mexico, my father and I noticed the ufo in the sky. My father took multiple pictures because he has the new iPhone with a good camera. The object hovered in the same spot for a good time. Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Also we did not notice any other objects but in one of the pictures you can see 2 more objects that looked like transparent discs that at first glance look like clouds but are to perfect in size and shape and are obviously trying to cloak themselves to great avail as we did not see the other 2 to the naked eye. But the other ufo was solid and visible.
El Paso has been a UFO hot spot of late! What could be going on there? Do you live in El Paso? Have you seen a UFO recently? Report your sighting.
What do you think of this sighting? Could it be an alien or top-secret government craft? Or perhaps a case of ball lightning? Or perhaps a hoax?
