A "giant sphere" was seen traveling in an arc over San Marcos, Texas. The witness actually observed the UFO for over an hour! Due to the "massive" size of the UFO and its odd behavior, a drone seems unlikely, but perhaps this could have been ball lightning! Read the testimony submitted to MUFON (case 82106): The sphere was initially in appearance to be hovering. The giant light with binoculars sometimes had bicycle like radiating spokes of light coming from the middle. It traveled over an hour an one half in an arc like movement all the way eventually over horizon point whereas we lost visibility. We can not believe a drone could be this massive and we are not getting any info if there could be some kind of satellite over San Marcos area. We are 30 miles south of Austin and 40 miles north of San Antonio.

On September 14th in Dallas, a witness reported seeing a boomerang craft flying overhead and hearing it move through the wind, however it didn't sound like a plane or jet. Well, now we've got a VERY SIMILAR report from the same night, but this time out of San Marcos. In a report submitted to NUFORC, a witness describes seeing a "low flying formation of large circular lights" flying in a straight line, and very close to the ground. Although the craft itself was silent, the wind rushing around it could be heard: Formation of bright round lights
Could these sightings be related? Perhaps a lot of top secret military craft was out and about on the night of September 14th, or these were the same crafts? Or perhaps ET was visiting the Lone Star State.
Someone saw some pretty strange things in the San Marcos sky a few nights ago and fortunately they submitted a detailed report to MUFON. In it, you can read about a group of lights hovering in the sky and moving around each other: .Me, and 3 friends had camped in a state park just outside of San Marcos Texas. We had been up all night. Before any events happened, that night around 10pm, 2 of us observed a single strike of dry lightening. Neither of us had ever seen this before. There were very little clouds in the sky. According to the testimony, video was attached to the report, but it looks like it got removed (the MUFON report says in place of the video link: "Link moved to FI Section/cms/tg").
Military planes flying in formation? Night sky divers? Drones? Aliens? If you saw these objects as well, report your sighting and help solve the mystery! ![]()
Someone in San Marcos (specially Rio Vista Park) spotted three strange lights flying in the sky, and fortunately snapped a photo and submitted it to TUS. A friend or family member of theirs also drew attention to it on Twitter. Either we've got 3 UFOs on our hands, or one UFO with three lights. Compare the San Marcos photo to the one out of Austin from October 12th: Sightings of triangle and V-shaped crafts have skyrocketed over the past month - in cities like Austin, Dennison, and Fredericksburg. I so far have not even been able to keep up! What's going on, Texans??? I will be putting together another post wrapping up all of this craziness soon. Here's the full witness report for the recent San Marcos sighting, kindly submitted to TUS by a reader: I saw 3 unidentified objects flying and suddenly lost sight of them, I took out my cell phone but didnt capture a clear shot in time unnfortunetly. Have you been lucky enough to spot one of these triangle crafts? Please report your sighting!
7/27 UPDATE: Apparently this UFO traveled a little to the northwest, too, as it seems to have been spotted in up in Zephyr, TX, according to a comment on this story by Steve: "About 10:30 at night I saw a really fast moving bright light shoot through the sky towards the northeast. This was in zephyr Texas. It was so fast and then just disappeared it had no tail." Last night, something appears to have been doing some magic tricks in the sky in the Austin/San Marcos area. Close to midnight last night, two people reported - to Twitter and then to this site - seeing a bright disc streak through the sky and then abruptly and silently disappear. Was this a meteor so high up in the sky that people in different parts of the state saw it at the same time (though I don't see any meteor reports from TX for July 19th, and typically shooting stars make sounds when they explode), or was there something far more mysterious going on? Here's the tweet out of Austin: I just saw a crazy bright light by Austin tx. Very fast, thick short streak/thin disc that stopped and disappeared silently And the San Marcos sighting, submitted to Texas UFO Sightings: A large, oblong or thin disc of bright white light (like a banana but not curved) appeared in the sky very quickly before slowing down and disappearing completely, silently, and instantly with no explosion or evident interaction with the atmosphere. In North Texas several days before, another identical sighting with multiple witnesses occurred. If you saw this UFO, please let me know! View Strange Light July 29th in a larger map |
