Two oddly similar UFO reports were submitted to MUFON this week. On July 9th, a witness in west Texas saw a cylindrical-shaped object that changed into a saucer (it was also accompanied by a jet). The next night in Clifton (southwest of Dallas), a witness saw another cylinder - or "cigar" - shaped object, and it too changed its shape, specifically into an oval. Do you think these UFO sightings are related? Read the reports below, and be the judge:
Clifton on July 10th:
I was home woke up at 4:00 to get some water and saw this cigar shaped object flashing multicoloured lights I woke up my husband to look at it and he is not a believer in UFO's but he said he had never seen anything like it in his life. It changed from cigar shape to oval looking and multicoloured lights almost like Christmas colored lights changed colors then back to color and shape of like a star. It was around 10 to 12 miles down the road over Lake Whitney. We live in the country 10 miles from Clifton Texas and same from Meridian Texas. It had to be at least 30 feet or more in size from our view out the window being 10 miles at least down the road.it was clear no clouds our bedroom has windows all around being upstairs we have a clear view. Being in the country is an asset very dark with neighbors down the road not a lot of lights so you can see more. We both lied in bed watching it till sun came up which my husband got his binoculars but couldn't get a view on it. I will stay awake tonight hoping to see it again.I have seen other strange lights in the past but not like last night. Glad my husband saw it has him wondering. Was talking at church about it to someone in law enforcement and told him about it and my description he said maybe weather balloon I asked him if they change shape and size he said no. I think it has him wondering.
Laredo on July 9th:
From backyard witnessed a flying object in a cylinder shape at first but changed saucer shape. A military jet circled it twice.
If you also happen to see this strange cigar-shaped object, report your sighting!
