8/26 Update: This was a mass sighting. Read the latest. Manny V of Houston sent Texas UFO Sightings an image of a saucer-shaped set of lights floating in the sky. According to the witness, it was popping in and out of the clouds. The image is quite amazing, to the extent that I can't 100% rule out a hoax. I could not find any images on Google like this, however, so if it is a hoax, it's a new one. Or it's just a plain old UFO. Not like there's anything at all unusual about interesting crafts and strange phenomenon showing up in the Texas sky. Happens daily! Here's the photo and witness description:  Cylindrical object with lights hovers around the area flickering on and off and disappearing in and out of clouds. Did you see this, too? Report your sighting!
I'll try to get more info on this, but in the meantime share your theories in the comments or on the Facebook page.

it was almost like the lightening was trying to strike something... I thought about ufo movies where something strikes the ship and makes them lose there invisibility..it was a weird day that day..

This is not the only photo of the lights from last night. There are three photos taken in different locations from different people. It's all over the news here in Houston. Channel 2 has a story on it (showing three different photos) and ABC 13 has a story on it with two photos.

I live a bit outside of Houston, Spring to be exact, and when I heard of this happening I was so excited to see the photos. It looks pretty massive and clear than others I've seen. If it's a hoax well its a clever one but seen in different places well that's something to think about. They have been around for many many years and they they are starting to show themselves more. I can't wait for the next to come about around here! And why hasn't it gotten the attention from the government, why haven't they said their all time favorite...it was a weather balloon or helicopters. Lol what a joke!

I'm the original owner of this picture..There is video that goes along with this picture..the video is nothing like the ones that have been posted...I have tried reaching the guy that is responsible to this site about my video and the experience me and my family had that night, but he still hasn't responded..

The location on your map is wrong..I have a galaxy s5 phone..the settings on my phone while recording or taking pictures is to focus on what you want to capture..so as you can see in my pic the freeway sign is blurred..the freeway sign reads Frontage rd exit 781A..which is located on the East side of Houston. .the video was shot from the parking lot of my tattoo shop which is Phat Boys Tattoos (East Side Location) ...As I shot video I was able to also snap pictures as I record...I will not post without professional help!
