"Have Never Seen Anything Like This" - Shiny Metal Object Filmed Over Palestine, Texas

• What: Metallic shining object hovering and then speeding away

6/26/2017 Update: The witness has  graciously  followed up with me with more detail about  the sighting: "It looked like a short water tower honestly. it didn't look painted, it looked a metallic with lights shining upward. it just hung there about 10-15 miles away. To the naked eye, it was very clear. My g6 phone couldn't focus on it and my wife wasn't too quick with the camera. I think she was in awe.... I have never seen anything like it and I've been around military for years."

A family witnessed a "metallic circle with a radiant light underneath it" and fortunately a video of it was uploaded to YouTube, though the video apparently only shows the end of the event and doesn't reveal as much detail as the witnesses saw with their naked eye:

It was a metallic circle with a radiant light underneath it. the light seemed to shine upward. it hovered there for a bit, then moved directly away from us at a rapid speed. the camera only shows a light and by the time my wife got our good camera, it sped away.

when it left, it went directly away from us really quickly then just vanished.
ive been around military for many years (10 years navy around naval air stations, spent 2 years in iraq and have just had a thing for tech stuff) and i have never seen anything like this. it did not tip over like a helicopter nor did it have to move forward to generate lift. it hung for a bit, then sped away.

the video is a little shaky until i braced against the porch. and sorry for the camera in the phone not staying focused, but had it worked perfectly, you guys would say BS...lol.
