"Huge Oval Metallic Flying Thing" in La Grange

Back in fall, people all over Texas (including La Grange) witnessed a flying saucer of sorts - bright blue lights, elongated shape (see illustration below, originally submitted to Lights in the Texas Sky.com). Well, it appears this UFO is making a comeback in La Grange.

A TUS reader was kind enough to submit their terrifying encounter with an oval shaped, metallic craft flying in their direction, while drying. They likened it to the reports from October:

We were driving in direction to Austin, near La Grange around 8pm.
We were the only car on the road as long as we could see in that direction. Sky was really dark and we could see all the stars. Suddenly, when I looked at the sky better, almost above our car, there was a huge oval metallic flying thing, with rings of white/ blue light underneath it. It was really close to us and flying relatively slow as we were going in opposite directions. I couldn't take any pictures as I was really shocked seeing it passing us by until it desappeared behind us. I'm not sure if it simply disappeared or if we could no longer see it as the road went in another direction.
I decided to search on Google about UFOs in Texas (my first time here) and I found this website. I was really surprised when I read the two other sightings in La Grange region were pretty similar! Even the drawing was pretty close to what I saw.
I would like to know if it was any kind of military aircraft or something else.
