"I felt really strange when I saw it, elated" - Witness in Nacogdoches Reports Strange Encounter

An East Texas resident witnessed something very strange in the night sky and submitted testimony and two digital renderings of the event to MUFON  (case 97183):

Top quadrant of moon, maybe 2000 feet from the moon. a black chain of rectangles stretched across the moon

6:54 PM , 12/22/18, I was driving home, I was on FM 2664 driving easterly.and looked up at the moon. The moon was so bright and I felt compelled to look at it.

I glanced down to make sure I didn't run off the road. I slowed down and looked back up and then I thought "what the hell is that?" when I saw the line. 1/5th the distance from top of moon was a flat black thick line.

I didn't know what it was, was black and I realized it was too sharp to be a cloud, sharply defined.

As my eyes focused it was rectangular shapes, almost all the same size, hooked together by smaller connectors. It stretched over the moon where I could not see the ends.It slowly descended, took about 4 to 6 seconds, then dropped below the moon and I could no longer see it.

I felt really strange when I saw it, elated, and when I got home I felt like I had to report it, like it was my "duty", like I had a responsibility, a burden, but not to humans. I also felt shocked like after a really good or a really bad event.

It descended past the bottom of the moon and was no longer visible.

Very weird!
