Austin has been especially bustling with UFO sightings lately, of all varieties! Well, one of the latest reports to hit MUFON details a January 30th encounter of a UFO or glowing orb that flies high up into the sky, stops and hovers, and then flies right back down (similar to another Austin sighting earlier in the month) - this is definitely not a conventional aircraft. Could it be a drone? Fortunately, the witness was captured the UFO on camera, and submitted a full description of the event: We were BBQing when Gus ( one of three witnesses ) noticed a bright light appear in the sky NW of us. We sat and watched it for approximately 1 minutes go from left to right a few times then stop and hover. I made a joke " wave at the aliens " and immediately after that it descended rapidly to the ground. We ran to get our phones and when we came back out it was doing some crazy zig zagging. The rest is on video. There are two other phones that recorded it but my phone got the best footage. 100% not a plane or helicopter or ballon. This was something else. Sorry about the commentary but we were excited and freaked out. Here's the first part of the video, in which the UFO ascends into the sky and then stops and hovers for a while: And here's the second part, in which the UFO goes back down, seemingly to the ground. Have you seen any UFOs in Austin lately? Report your sighting!

I saw this exact same thing. Multiple nights! Me and my friend always smoke at the park by my house at night and we noticed this light hovering for a long time, then eventually it goes down slowly. Its always in the same spot too. The thing you didn't catch is , after it goes down, about 30 minutes later it rises again slowly and zooms across the sky, FAST. Which i have only seen once. I have never seen anything like it .
