"I would like to know we aren't the only ones who saw this." - UFO Hovers Over Neighborhood4/2/2013
We've got two pretty astounding UFO reports coming out of the Temple area. One of the reports is detailed, discussing a very clear and - unsettling - sighting of a circular "craft" with big flashing lights and no noise hovering over the witness' neighborhood and then moving westward. She and her husband saw the UFO, and she's confident it's not a plane, a helicopter, or a UAV drone (which she found YouTube videos of for comparison). The other report is vague, but is for the same night in the same small Texas town, though at a slightly different time (the UFO in the first report did eventually move to another location). Do you live in Copperas Cove? Did you see this UFO? Let me know! Here's the detailed MUFON report: Around 10:30pm I went to open the window and when I pulled up the blinds I saw a circular object with flashing lights slowly hovering over homes here in Copperas Cove, TX. At first I thought it was a plane, but Ive lived here since June 2010 and the planes that Ive seen never fly so low, are loud, and never this shape with all those lights flashing in a circular direction. Then I thought it was a helicopter, even though I know helicopters arent circular shaped however the propellers do go in a circular motion, I convinced myself that it could be that, so I listened for the sound and everything was silent. It was so weird. Definitely wasnt a helicopter. So I called my husband to come quick because I wanted him to explain what I was seeing. At this point the object had moved west but my husband was able to observe it before our view would be obstructed by distant homes. After a few seconds of silence, my husband said, "I think that was a UFO." My thought exactly but I didnt say it because I didnt want to sound dumb and/or influence his thoughts. My husband is in the military and assured himself as well as me, that it wasnt flares. He seemed confused. He also noticed that I was feeling nervous and that I kept going back to look out the window so he then said, "Maybe it was a UAV". So I started to second guess myself. I got on the internet researched UAVs and let me tell you, I am more convinced now that we saw a UFO. UAVs are a significantly smaller, do not have all the lights I saw, and not circular (disc) shaped. After reading into UAVs, I googled UFO sightings in Copperas Cove, TX and one other person commented about it, but just said it was scary, and didnt give much information. I would like to know that we arent the only ones that saw this. Hoping other people come forward. Should have recorded it. And the simpler report, which was eerily or incorrectly categorized as "alien encounter": Viewing Distance 20 Feet or Less And a comment on this report, I guess from the other witness we know about, or a separate witness altogether: Scared me as well. Glad I wasn't the only one. - Lisa

I am from Copperas Cove and have lived here for 7 years and in the area for 9 1/2. Even though I didn't see this craft, I have witnessed several strange craft in our skies, many varieties. One of my sons and a nephew have been witness to these craft in a few cases. This doesn't surprise me.

I remembered this post, as last night April 28, 2013, my 14 year old son said he saw another UFO here in Copperas Cove. He said it was big and los and had lights, and was slowly moving over the library ad City Hall building. He said it was dome shaped with a lower level which was smaller in diameter covered in bluesh-greenish-yellowish bright lights, all te lights around the craft were the same hard describe color. He ran to get his brothers but when they returned the craft was gone. He said it made him feel scared more than anything else we've seen while here.
