Is there a new star in our sky? Irving Sighting

When: On or about October 25th, 2013
Where: Irving (Dallas area)
What: Strange star-like object stationary in sky, but not star or planet

Hey guys, I stumbled upon a great YouTube video that features a glowing star or orb in the sky. By itself, it just looks like a sparkling star or planet or possibly a satellite. However, a plane seems to fly behind it at one point, and the witness who uploaded the video is somehow sure this is not Venus or some other star or planet. I am currently trying to get the full story, as there is not detailed description of the sighting.

Normally I'd hold off on reporting on this until getting further info, but sightings of a strange, out of place 'star' in the sky have been common of late - and not just in Texas.

But for now you can watch the video and judge for yourself:

Have you seen a new star in our sky? Please let me know!

I noticed that star about 2 weeks ago perhaps, and its very bright. And I don't recall a ster that bright being in that location. I've never been sure where Venus is located, and have had it pointed out to me a few times and I don't remember it being that bright. Is it possible that perhaps a star out there somewhere recently went into supernova status. How would we go about finding out??

The "star is no longer there. I saw it last night but its not there anymore. So how the hell can that be explained.

That same object is what we are seeing in Alvin,TX. It is stationary, but then seems to move in sideways directions only a little. It's very hard to tell. It blinks also. I have pictures of it. It is very well lit around 7:00. Very low very noticeable. I have never seen a star that low in that location. It is to low to be a star.

I saw this last night. I thought it was a plane because it was going further away but when I took my exit I was closer and it looked like it was above my park. I freaked out and left. This was at 1 am

Yes, I just saw a star that appeared to blink white and red, it wasn't a plane because it didn't move...It may have only been white and my eyes were playing tricks on me, but I checked every two hours, and the star like object just remained stationary. As the other stars moved as the night passed, the bright star remained in the same place. It was in the sky the night of 11/10/14 and 11/11/14 outside of Austin Texas (Georgetown Texas).
