"It's impossible, I know, and if I hadn't taken the pictures myself I wouldn't believe it" - UFOs Outside Katy

• When: March 6th, 2015
• Where: Near Katy, Texas
• What: Stationary bright light (eyewitness sighting) and dark-colored object hovering accidentally captured in photographs of scene

From the (seeming) return of the Stephenville lights to the sighting of a strange craft in Garland, March 5th and 6th were exciting days for UFO activity. Texas UFO Sightings is still looking into other reports from these nights, so stay tuned.

Here's the full description of the two UFOs encountered:

My son and I saw a strange light in the sky around 8:30-9 pm driving west on I10 Friday March the 6th. We lost sight of the odd light as we came into the light pollution of Greater Houston/Katy.

We were watching the gorgeous blood moon rising that night and noticed, also in the east (further north- northeast?) a triangular shaped light showing through the clouds. At first we thought it was light from a tall building, but there are no tall buildings in that area. Maybe the light of an airplane refracting in the cloud? But no plane ever broke through. A comet? Comets move! This object was stationary, although the clouds were boiling through the sky that night.

Its lowest angle was very bright and the rest of the light seemed to spread from it like a tail. It had an iridescent or prism quality, with a violet/blue appearance on top and a reddish tint to the bottom, so subtle it was almost unnoticeable. We took photos which do not clearly show anything except proof of a light parallel, and relatively the same size as the moon (from our perspective.)

I would not bother to report that at all except that previously in the day I drove driving east to Columbus from Houston (around 6:00-7 pm). I was doing rapid fire photos of the sunset to photojournal. I didn't take time to go through shot by shot until 3/10. The succession of photos put my position as being over the Brazos river (about 30 minutes outside of Katy) when I caught a UFO. In one frame only, taken a split second after an identical frame with no UFO.

The fact is, the light we saw on the evening if the 6th appeared ~30 min. outside Katy. These two events happened on the same night in the same place (although it took me 4 days to figure it out. )It couldn't be accidental.

It's impossible, I know, and if I hadn't taken the pictures myself I wouldn't believe it. I hope this was written clearly enough. I can't believe other people didn't report this huge light, and I want to know if other people saw it! The solo shot of the UFO reminds me though that things go on all around us all the time, and we notice about 1% of it.
