Kite, Balloon, or UFO? - Austin

• What: Strange, flower-shaped, black, unlit object flies over road way

An Austinite driving near the Burnet Rd and Steck Ave intersection spotted a very odd object in the sky. They thought it looked more like a kite or balloon than a plane or helicopter, but as it made a wobbly flight upward and then disappeared behind clouds, they definitely were left wondering... what is that, and did anyone else see it?

Just wondering if anyone else saw this.
I was driving north on Burnet around Steck Avenue about 4pm. I noticed something hanging in the sky above the traffic. It was not an aircraft or helicopter. I thought maybe it was a kite or balloon, but did not act like either. While I was driving, I did not see anyone else looking at it. The sky was very overcast at the time. By the time I pulled into a parking lot, the object started heading westward. It seemed to travel awkwardly but continued to rise. I watched it until it became hidden by clouds. It seemed to be black in color and I did not see any lights.
