6/10 Update: Story updated to say "Houston." Accidentally placed this in San Antonio! A Texas UFO Sightings reader witnessed a large (and seemingly intimidating!) craft with bright lights moving silently overhead and eventually turning out of sight. They graciously shared their testimony with the site: I couldn't sleep so I walked outside to smoke and I knew it was late and there weren't any planes landing or taking off when something bright caught my eye. I looked to my left and I saw what was a large rectangular object with bright white, yellow and possibly orange lights.. But the strange thing was I could not hear anything like you would a plane. .It seemed that it was going to come straight over head about tree top level but it turned slightly towards Hobby airport and disappear behind some trees. Wow! What could this have been? Any ideas? Share your theories in the comments or on the Facebook page.
And if you saw this - or anything else strange in the San Antonio sky recently - report your sighting.

Pearland is south of Central Houston. Hobby Airport is in southeast Houston.

I have seen this a number of times. Someone bought a $3000 drone and likes flying around. I see it mostly by Gringos on FM 518. Look up 'DJI Phantom 2' . It's the closest I can find to the craft. It blends in quite well in the daytime to the cloud and blue sky mixture as you look on from below.

Mario hello! Well I googled that site and that drone is nothing compared to what I saw that night. This thing I saw was probably the size of 2 maybe 3 billboards like you would see on the freeway.

I live in Pearland off of FM 518 b/t Cullen and 35. I was walking my dog around 12:00 - 12:20 am and I saw a bright light just above the trees headed west from 35 towards 1128. It looked like it stalled for just a second above the field that I was standing in. I heard a low humming sound - not to be confused with rotary blades or turbine motors. It was hovering just above the tree line and above the field where I was standing. The grass in the field wasn't churning... it made a course correction and started heading north and started veering toward Hobby Airport. The object wasn't small, more like the size of V-22 Osprey - minus the rotary turbine engines. This object was triangular with orange lights around it. The red lights would dim and go orange slightly. I'm not saying this was a UFO with martians in it but, I couldn't identify what I was looking at. Any body awake and see the same thing? Maybe I can write this one off...and no, this was not a drone. Unless their selling $3000 dollar drones the size of 3 or 4 school buses to civilians... that idea is out!
