Crazy Lightning Storms in Texas - What's Going on with the Weather?

June 3rd, 2016: Since this report was posted, many videos showing an extreme lightning storm in Houston, San Antonio, and other parts of Texas have surfaced. Although there is no way to be 100% sure that the video in Dallas is of lightning, it does fit the bill, as this lighting was very uncharacteristic. Many locals reported the absence of thunder, or that they'd never seen lightning so intense. Some even have theories that the cause of these storms is not natural,  with one person even recalling a tale his grandma used to tell about such storms: "My grandma said that they call it "centellas" (in Argentina) she would tell stories about how those can travel and move through houses getting through a window!"

Video showing lights flashing continuously for over four minutes has been posted to YouTube. If this is lightning, the constant flashing and complete silence sure make it strange. Perhaps the bolts were far enough away to where they couldn't be heard (heat lightning). Or perhaps these were Memorial Day fireworks? As always, you be the judge:
