Unfortunately, there are no videos or photos to back up this sighting, but plenty of witnesses. What caught my eye was a tweet that eventually directed me to a local TV news' Facebook wall reading "We've seen several posts from viewers last night - April 17th - about a possible UFO over San Antonio. What did you see and what side of town do you live on?" (Thanks @xmuaddibx) Someone also visited my sight on the morning of April 18th looking for details, I believe on this same sighting. AND there was even a tweet about a UFO in New Braunfels the same night (don't have more details, unfortunately): So, what was seen and where was it seen? The Facebook comments run the gamut, and imply there were several UFOs of different types (from triangles to meteor-like objects) in the area over several nights (not just the 17th)... check them out: Continued... Laurel Parker: My sister and a coworker tried to take pics but they all showed up with nothing. She said it creeped them out. Joy Ross: I saw it too but this was monday night around 11:45 pm by the airport. it was real low, A greenish blueish stripe apearred apeared flared up at the end and dissappeard. it was alot slower than a shooting star. Shawn Fernandez: I live in San Marcos and last night around midnight I got out of work to see a friend! We both saw a triangle shaped object in the distance towards San Antonio with a few lights coming out. It was hard to see and off at a far distance, but the lights moved together. We joked about it being a UFO, but now this status has scared the hell out of me!!! Cynthia S McDonald: We were driving back from Houston last night as the sun set and the sky became completely dark, the stars really became bright. We could see Orion to our south. To the northwest we could see Venus and Jupiter. As we neared San Antonio, the brighter one seemed to hang there like a giant spotlight. Actually, it reminded me of the star the Magi must have seen. After we crossed 35 on 1604 I could see something circling like a plane approaching SAT. It made smaller and smaller circles and then disappeared somewhere north of Bulverde. ( I used my compass on I-Phone and made a guess from there) N Grace Pridgeon: Saw a greenish blue light going toward SA, and told my husband, but it was gone pretty quick. We are in New Braunfels. Keep in mind that San Antonio citizens recently saw a huge UFO fireball shoot across their skies - and NASA eventually debunked it as a jet contrail. A similar UFO has also appeared in Palm Beach recently - that one's still a mystery.
