Mystery Flashes Reported Over Hobby Airport

Earlier this month, a Hobby Airport employee witnessed "bright white light flashes" in the sky. They weren't the only witness, according to a MUFON report (case 100894) that they submitted.

While working at Hobby Airport I was alerted to an object in the sky. As I exited hangar onto the ramp. Extremely high up we saw bright white light flashes similar to a strobe light or camera flash that had no pattern. Object seemed to be ascending. Soon disappeared. Estimated altitude roughly 40,000 ft?+
