A Texas resident taking pictures of the nighttime sky was surprised by the sudden appearance of mystery green light, according to a recent MUFON report (case 109118): Photo before UFO appears Photo taken after UFO appears S in the sky. My 5th photo a green light appears with erratic flight pattern quick directional change and disappeared... Now, could this be a meteor? There was a large fireball, or meteor, seen in the area by many during the month of May. But that meteor was seen three nights after this event, so it could be unrelated. It's also worth mentioning that this hasn't been the only recent UFO sighting in Waco. A few nights before this, on the evening of May 25th, another witness wrote into MUFON (case 109082), describing a "softball-sized orb flashing" in their backyard, which was followed by a "bright beam of white fast flickering light" that traveled through the sky. The initial orb eventually shot off and disappeared into the sky. At the time of the event, a thunderstorm was underway, so the witness reasoned they could have been observing "ball lightning." Ball lightning is a rare but known natural phenomenon that I have documented many times on this website! As for these recent sightings in Waco, though, I don't think ball lightning is to blame. But maybe not aliens, either. Let me know what you think of these recent Texas UFO Sightings in the comments, or on social (I'm on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Related - Waco's UFO history
