1/31/2017

  • When: January 30th, 2016
  • Where: Humble
  • What: Star-like object glowing and hovering, and then also speeding around in different directions and occasionally giving off a red or blue light

A mother and son witnessed a UFO the other night, and were curious enough about what they saw to send TexasUFOs a video. In the video, you can see a very large bright object hovering, but the witness described it also moving very fast and occasionally shining red or blue lights.

Today is January 30, 2017.

Last night around 10:30pm my son (age 24) stepped out in the back yard and spotted something moving northward across the sky. It then stopped, and started moving in circles. While moving in circles, it would occasionally dart to the left or the right in quick movements. It continued it movement toward the north but not it alignment with the stars. It looked very much like a star, but it was much brighter and occasionally it changed from a bluish white to red to green. He called me outside to observe it with him.  I finally had to go to bed.

Tonight (January 30th, 2017) I stepped back outside to contemplate what I had seen the night before, and to check to see if it was still up there....perhaps it really had been a star?  Instead, I saw the same object again. This time is was a bit further south and closer to the horizon.

I live in Humble, TX and I was looking west, towards Spring, TX.  I am aware that there are several planets that are very bright in the night sky, and I live near the airport, so I continued to watch it to see if it might be an airplane or planet.

Again, it moved much faster than the night sky, but not at all like an airplane or helicopter. It was lower to the horizon tonight and it continued to descend downward while making circular movements. Occasionally, it darted back and forth, but it's primary movement was downward towards the horizon. Since I have a large set of trees (aka mini-forest) behind my backyard, I was unable to track it all the way to the ground. It disappeared behind the trees and I did not see it anymore. There was no sound as far as I could tell.

The differences between last night's sighting and tonight's were threefold:

1) Tonight's sighting was Much closer that last night's.

2) Tonight's sighting moved from the sky toward the earth. Last night's sighting moved northward across the sky.

3) Tonight's sighting had pulsing lights. Last night's sighting would change from white to green to red.
What do you think of this UFO? Could it be a drone? Satellites and planes certainly don't move fast like the witness describes, but perhaps this is just a mis-identification? Do you live in Humble or the Houston area? Have you seen a start that's... not really a star? Report your sighting!

You can also share you theories on this UFO sighting in the comments or on Facebook or Twitter.

Well it's not a UFO... but it is a new satellite type drone that is observing the entire Houston area to help out with crime
