The American Meteor Society and other news outlets were alerted to a fantastic fireball sighting in Texas and surrounding states. At least two videos and several photos have emerged. Austin music lovers at Fun Fun Fest were treated to a particularly great show at a Modest Mouse concert, amazingly while the band was performing the song "Dark Center of the Universe": Caught the big Texas meteor / shooting star on video at the Modest Mouse concert at fun fun fun fest. Showed up during "Dark Center of the Universe"!! This was shot from Austin on November 8, 2014. Note, time clock on video is off by an hour due to recent daylight savings time change, this happened at about 8:43-44 PM (or 20:43-44, not 21:##). Not sure what this was, but it was very bright and slightly green in color to our eyes. Here's a sampling of the many reports submitted to AMSMeteors.org:
Did you see this fireball, too? Do you have photos or videos? Share them!
