7/26/2017 Update: San Antonio aviation officials were kind enough to share their thoughts on the sighting. Evelynn A Bailey, the Senior Public Information Officer of San Antonio's aviation department, shared the news report with the Operations Manager, who was "of the opinion based on the photos... that it looked like a contrail from a flight passing overhead. The glimpse of “orange fireball” would be the sun reflecting from the aircraft and seeing that it was either at sunrise, this could give it a “glowing orange shine” to it. " Meanwhile, Karen W Ellis, the Chief Customer Experience Officer of the San Antonio Airport, confirmed that there were no known airplane crashes in the area at the time. 5/2 4:06 PM: So far, still no official word form local officials or media (still trying to track one down), but many online and even Atlanta's chief meteorologist Glenn Burns have shared their thoughts with TexasUFOs about the event. Burns believes it could have been an aircraft dumping fuel. Others still think the "UFO" could be a meteor or aircraft crashing, or even a simple jet with a contrail (passing through cold, moist air). Others have even commented that this event could be an example of a "chemtrail" plane exploding! What do you think? 
5/1 8:56 AM: As of this morning, there has still been no official word on what was seen in the San Antonio area. It appears that if the object was a plane, it may have been crashing, as many witnesses reported seeing the object on fire and falling. Meteor or space junk is still not being ruled out, to the similar sighting reported in Louisiana. As well, a fireball like this may also have been seen in Australia the same day.

4/30 12:29 PM: A new theory is that planet Earth got a sneak peak of the Eta Aquariid meteor shower, expected to arrive May 5th or 6th. So far, other theories include a meteor or aircraft crashing, a "chemtrail" plane gone awry, a satellite re-entering the Earth's atmosphere, a weather event (like a rare type of tornado), and a simple plane with a contrail (or perhaps dumping fuel or something else).
4/30 11:39 AM: Rumors are still swirling online as to what was seen in the Texas sky (and possibly in Louisiana and other parts of the country, too). Some even speculate the cause may not be so innocent. No news about the sighting has been released yet by the media or government officials. 430 8:24 AM: Some online are suggesting this could be "space junk," specifically the re-entry of SL-14 Rocket Body that was predicted to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere on April 27th, while others insist this was simply a plane flying. 11:31 PM Update: A new photo of the San Antonio sighting has been taken by another witness, and shared with TexasUFOs. Was NOT a UFO. I saw the same thing from the west side of S.A. (Outside of 1604) It was an airliner. Left the same trail that day.

Likely from the airliner dumping fuel in order to land. A lot of times a flight plan is cut short or diverted especially for impromptu change of flight plans for one reason or another, especially for military cargo aircraft. Jet Fuel weighs about 6.5 lbs per gallon and the aircraft cannot have excessive fuel onboard as it would place too much stress on the landing gear and framing. When fuel is dumped into the atmosphere it creates huge ice-crystal contrails. They are also known as "chemtrails".

Bullshit, when plane drain fuel, than NOT in such height. And ifa plane drain it's fuel it will NOT make such what you call "chemtrail" fuel IS chemical and not natural. But anyway, in less height a contrail will disapear very fast and not what we seeing here. I think it is a meteor, comet, asteroid and NOT a plane!

As a guy who's been working in Aviation Weather since 1987, there is not a scrap of doubt in my mind that this is nothing more nor less than an ordinary contrail. Just as clouds look dramatically different from example to example depending on a vast array of factors (altitude, temperature, airmass saturation, convection, winds, etc, etc), so too do contrails. This one looks extra interesting because of the high moisture content of the air it's passing through (note the uniform covering of cirrus clouds near the same level), as well as the low angle of the sun. I know you folks have a need for stuff like this to verify your conspiracies -- but it's just an everyday result of hot jet engine exhaust gasses passing through cold, moist air at a relatively high altitude....

Thank you. I saw this too and took my own pic. There were thunderstorms in the area and every plane in the sky was leaving contrails. I saw a similar one happen just a few minutes later, but the sun was almost down, so the effect wasn't as dramatic. Also, this was right over the airport.

Contrails aren't formed by burning fuel. It's moisture in the air condensing from the low pressure created by the wings.

Yes, a meteor makes most sence! Most peoüle maybe forgotten what happen Russia when a small meteor hit earth and how it was looking on sky. Contrail from plane...hahaha,people stop this bullshit. Most of you don't remember how sky was looking 25-30 years ago....Sky now worldwide cloked with "Contrails" all time and MOST people thinking is normal. NO THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!

I have pics on both the planes as they flew. My son and I were throwing the football and watched them, we took the pics because of the wind and how the sunset illuminated the contrail. There is a second one that happened moments after. I have that pic too.

I was able to capture 8 UFO's plain and clear in my neighborhood off 410 & Babcock Medical Center. They've been over medical center nightly since December. They have gotten lower and become many. There are several civilizations here now. I've captured, videoed, and I've seen too many that are different & more advanced. My photos and video should be posted if not tomorrow, the 4th. My grandfather was a member of the few Navy men that witnessed and guarded the crash in the 1940's in San Diego, Cali. One dead, one injured, and one unharmed. The old footage you can find on youtube, you know when seeing it was real. It was quickly dying and it looks as though the Navy was being aggressive, but the were actually looking in his mouth/throat with a light to see why it's breathing was failing. Leave a Reply. |
